As Karl Santher ran through the Congo Rainforest gripping the socket where his arm had been pulled off, he wondered what his best friends back in the United States were doing, they had refused to come with Karl on this trip. They were right to do so. There were two African men somewhere in the jungle who had also survived the horrible attack Karl had just escaped, but they were no where in sight. To think this expedition was all planned out, before just a few hours ago Karl believed he had total control of this expedition. Karl was the boss, he was the captain, he was in charge. Blood began gushing out of the socket again, Karl tightened his shirt around Ne'vile was running from a panther, why did I let that fucking white man drag me into this, he thought as he sprinted to left avoiding the panther who jumped down from a tree above. Ouga knew the dangers of the Congo, panthers, spiders, snakes, and hippos. However, he was surprised at the attack from the large grey animals earlier. Ouga thought he could handle an animal attack and now he was going to die in the Congo and no one would even know how. Ouga dodged the panther again, and sprinted forward. The panther was now chasing him instead of trying to ambush him. Ouga tripped on a rock, shit, he thought as the panther ran up next to him. Ouga screamed at it and threw dirt in its eyes, he kicked and swung his fists at it. The panther backed away once or twice but when Ouga kicked again the panther caught his leg in its jaws and yanked him forward. The panther proceeded to desembowel and Ouga fainted from the pain. Karl continued through the jungle. He would escape by following the Congo River to civilization and then he would return with a stronger party and once again he would have complete control of the situation. In reality though people never have control of the situation, when a baby cries the parents just try a bunch of things until the baby decides to stop crying, naturally when the baby cries again the parents try the same thing but everytime the baby will decide when to stop crying not the parents. It was foolish of parents trying to predict a baby, just as it's foolish for people to think they can have control of nature, nature is not told or made to stop, nature decides, if anything nature is in control of us, nature will not be contained. Karl continued through and finally found the Tuo had come out on the western side of the river, those damn animals were still chasing them, he heard them snorting behind him. Then, across the river, he saw Karl and Karl was staring back. The animals were now very close, he could hear each indivual foot-step and without thinking he began to swim across the cursed to himself, what the hell is he doing this is not good, Karl thought."Feragu, get out of the water!" Karl shouted but it was too late, a hippopatumus had jumped out from the depths of the river and crunched down on Feragu's legs, and one quick movement Feragu was underwater all that remained above water were red streaks heading down turned to run back into the forest as a second Hippo appeared but was cut off by a large grey animal. He recognized these as the animal that had attacked him earlier, it looked like a gorilla but something was odd and in that moment Karl relized it was actually an eight foot tall Chimpanzee! How had this animal gotten so large, Karl thought, I'll be the first to study it and I will- the chimp threw its large arms down cracking Karl's skull and then the chimp began eating him.
