Tony sat at his desk. He should be working, but he wasn't. He was thinking. Thinking about the woman sitting across from him.
Oh, how things had changed. Almost a year ago he had killed Michael, she had hated him. She had gone to Somalia, he had saved her.
They both knew that after what had happened their relationship would never be the same. Before they had been ok. But, they would never go back to ok. They would never go back easy. It would never be the way it was.
She had forgiven him, he had accepted. He had teased her like old times, she had laughed. Their relationship was in repair. But, there were still sore spots. Still things that could not be said.
HE walked over to her desk. She looked up and smiled. Looking into each others eyes told each other everything they needed to know. They had a connection, one that was as rare as a gem.
Yes, they would never go back to ok……..
But maybe, just maybe, they could be even better.
