Summary: "She's so....pink...." FMA/Girl Genius crossover.

Note: This was actually written and posted on fan_constructs at Livejournal back in February 2008....I'm just now getting around to posting it on here. It was inspired by something that got brought up on one of the Girl Genius Yahoo! message boards, in reference to the character Zola (aka Barbie Heterodyne) and Major Alexander Louis Armstrong. Minor spoilers for Girl Genius, but only if you haven't been reading it the last couple of years.

"Greetings, people of Mechanicsburg! I am the Lady Heterodyne, daughter of William Heterodyne! At long last, I have returned home--!"

At the back of the growing crowd, two figures stood watching the display. The older one could only stare and shake his head in utter disbelief, his long bangs falling into his eyes. Sparkles around her head...overdramatic way of speaking...Edward Elric sighed and shook his head again.

"At least she's not ripping her shirt off, Brother." Alphonse still looked worried, though. Ed let out a rude snort.

"Nah...she's not that closely related to the Major. Third cousin twice removed, probably."

They turned their attention back to the "Lady Heterodyne", just in time to hear her finish triumphantly, "And then, a new era awaits!" Without warning, she was illuminated from behind by a brilliant light, almost blinding in its intensity. The brightness nearly drowned out the sparkles around her head, and emphasized the color of her dress. Ed and Al's eyes nearly bugged out of their heads, drops of sweat running down the backs of their necks.

"She's so...pink..." Ed whispered in horror.
