I am one of THE ultimate HTTYD fans ever, and yet I haven't written a fic yet? Shame, shame. I wrote this while watching the movie with the Trivia Track on (FINALLY got my mom to cave and buy me the blu-ray double DVD pack—yes! I did everything you could do on it the day I got it!), and it was SO FUH-REAKING EPIC. I've watched it 139 times (now 140), and it's STILL so awesome! Never gonna get tired of it, that's for sure! Anyway, remember that awesome part where Toothless catches Astrid, gives her an upside down toothless smile, drops her off, and she says, "Go"? Yup. Fic on that! Stupid FF. Sometimes they get ridda the underlining . . .
. . . the trivia track has made me realize a lotta things I've never realized. And that's saying something, I realize most every detail! The creators' comments and stuff like that really help. Apparently, in the Viking profile test, I would've been known as Skullette, the Firetamer. WHOOOO! Awesome! Oh, and I also accept requests if you got them, about ANYTHING in the movie, as long as it makes SENSE. So yeah, requests anyone? I love writing this style. R&R please! But okay, enough about me, ON WITH THE FIC!
Everything was so messed up
Apparently, the d/r/a/g/o/n/s weren't all that bad
(and the first to be tamed was the Night Fury, the fiercest d/r/a/g/o/n Vikings had known of)
And Hiccup of all people will be the h-e-r-o
Not her, or the twins, or even Snotlout or Fishlegs
It's going to be Hiccup
{the boy they all t.e.a.s.e.d for years and years}
Hiccup, the boy who was the most pathetic excuse of a V/i/k/i/n/g Berk has ever known
He had tamed a Night Fury
[the d/r/a/g/o/n no one had even seen]
He had b:e:a:t:e:n her at dragon training
~something no one dared to try~
He had been h.i.d.i.n.g away
Had b-e-f-r-i-e-n-d-e-d a d/r/a/g/o/n
And now he has to lead them all into b~a~t~t~l~e
(against the mother of all dragons, Odin help us)
But the thing is . . .
She isn't scared
{well, maybe a little, but this thing is huge}
She's the brave Astrid Hofferson, the fiercest Viking trainee
The best in class
—until Hiccup got better, but that's not the point—
The point is that she's okay with it
Okay that Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III will be the h-e-r-o and not her like she had e.x.p.e.c.t.e.d
And she isn't scared because she knows he won't fail
&& right now, there's not enough time to explain
And there are no correct words either
So she has to settle for just one simple two lettered word to say it all
[even though he can't hear her right now]
