There is nothing more honest and pure than laying your head against someone's chest and hearing their heartbeat. Everything else is silent, save for your quiet breathing, and the sound of fingers brushing through your hair. It is you and him in that moment, and nothing else matters. The lack of money for the rent doesn't matter. The lack of blessings from your parents doesn't matter. The lack of knowing where you'll find yourself in a year, in a month, hell, tomorrow. None of those things are significant to the two of you, because you both know that the love you share amounts to so very much more. No one understands, and you don't expect them to. You don't care if they do. This moment isn't about them. It's about the feel of soft skin under your fingertips, the brush of lips against the smooth wall of his torso, and about the way he smiles down at you as if you were the only woman in the world.

They say you can't live on love and love alone, but you are damn willing to try. Because when you're with him, fancy clothes aren't necessary because he's not impressed by them. Getting your fill to eat doesn't matter because you both know that he'd go without before you did. Cold nights without heat don't matter because you know you can always find warmth in the circle of his arms. The love between you is true and you know that when you feel as if the world is ending, he will be there for you. To love you, to make you chase your dreams and to give you the confidence and the push that you need to achieve them.

People may judge you and feel that you make bad decisions. But you know better. You know that holding on to this man that loves you completely, through and through is the best decision of your life. In years down the road when all the others have fallen away, you will still have him and he, you. There is no replacement for that, nothing that money, or the approval of others, or a five year plan could even compare to.

A love like this is a once in a lifetime, all or nothing kind of thing. Who in their right mind would give that up?
