Shadows of Sakura

Eva(n) Skye

The year has passed quickly, my love

A sweet smile, my love

A dark glint in my eye, my prey

You swear to me of love

Love? Then tell me of love

And tell me how you can love what you don't know

You see only my laughing eyes, my happy smiles

You do not see my call of death

My soul of ice, hidden behind a bloody veil

Tell me, my crystal sculpture

What do you feel when your flesh cries out

And our very souls brush

Do you feel my emptiness?

Do you feel the gentle brush against your mind?

The touch of crimson velvet

I say that you are only a thing to me

I do not lie

You are my crystal

You are the glass I will shatter

You are the nightingale taken by me, the hawk

You stare into my dusty veil

Searching for my dark secrets

Not knowing that the very touch of my darkness

Would enflame you, edging your soul to insanity

Your time has come

One velvet ribbon wraps round your neck

So tight - you feel its razorblade caress

The fear glittering in your eyes is surprising

Yet, at the same time, expected

Did you truly not see this?

I had hoped that you would have seen what left the others as just things

And all things die in time

Two velvet ribbons wrap round your wrists

Binding you to the ground

Tears run down your face

Tiny crystals

More ribbons turn to encircle you

The crimson blood such a stark contrast to your pale skin

As it soaks through your shirt and runs down your chest

It is so soft so light to the touch so very imbued with your essence

And then you are gone

And I am left alone

Alone and bored

What is left now?

What?

Why, hello little boy

Would you like to make a bet?
