"Hey! Elsa! Look! Look What I made!"
Elsa looked up from her paperwork when she heard her sister's familiar voice. She directed her gaze to the study's doorway, where her energetic sibling leaned against the doorframe holding a strange object. Her hair was wild and messy, as if she'd been running around in a field all day, and her dress was stained with dirt and grass.
"What is it, Anna?" she asked amusedly.
The princess grinned widely and proceeded to track dirt all over the pristine carpets as she made her way to an armchair, exhaling loudly as she plopped down in the seat.
"So… I know it's spring and all, so this probably seems kind of crazy, but I wanted to build a snowman today. Unfortunately it's not winter, it's spring. Not that that's a bad thing though, I mean spring is great! And of course you have your super cool ice powers, so it's no problem. Remember? We just built a snowman yesterday. I'm not saying that one wasn't good enough though! I just wanted to build another one today, but you were busy, so instead of bugging you, I decided to take matters into my own hands!"
Elsa blinked. "What?"
Anna gave a small laugh, eagerly thrusting the object in Elsa's direction. "Here! Just see for yourself! It's nice right?"
"Wha-Anna, what is that?"
"It's a Sunman, silly!"
"A… Sunman?"
"Yeah, a Sunman. Because it's made of sunflowers, see? Don't worry, I didn't ruin the gardens or anything."
Anna walked over, placing the Sunman on her sister's desk with a triumphant grin. Elsa carefully picked it up, observing how the intricately braided stems shaped the figure of a snowman, and how Anna had woven a small, yellow crown of flowers sit atop its head.
"If you want, I can teach you how to make one. You look like you need a break anyway," Anna said with a smile.
Elsa stared at the object in her hands for a few seconds before deciding that a little bonding time with her sister wouldn't hurt. After all, it wasn't everyday that she got a free pass from work, either.
"I would love that, Anna," she said, returning a smile.
The princess whooped and cheered, running out of the room as she called for Elsa to hurry. A warm feeling spread in her, and as she chased after her sister (in a considerably more dignified manner), she realised that she missed spending time like this with her sister.
Well, that will have to change, she thought with a smile.
