"Goodbye Helia," Flora waved. Helia waved back and closed the door as Flora walked down the hallway. She had been visiting Helia and was on her way to Sky's room. Bloom had made her promise to go check on Sky and Flora had agreed.
She reached Sky's room which he shared with Brandon and knocked. The door opened and Sky was there.
"Oh hi -uh," Sky said, frowning. He had forgotten her name.
Flora smiled. "Flora," she told him, "my name is Flora."
"Oh yeah," he grinned sheepishly, "sorry."
"It's okay," she said, "can I come in?"
"Yeah, of course," Sky said and stepped away. Flora entered.
"Where's Brandon?" she asked Sky as he closed the door.
"Date with Stella," he answered. He remembered Stella's name, Flora thought sourly. She mentally scolded herself. The poor guy had amnesia and you're getting upset because he forgot your name? Talk about selfish, Flora. "So why are you here, Flora?" Sky asked, snapping her out of her thoughts.
"Bloom asked me to check on you," she told him the truth, "how are you feeling?"
"I still can't remember anything," he told her glumly as he sat down on his bed. Flora joined him and sat down.
"You'll remember soon," she told him reassuringly.
Sky eyed her from the corner of his eye. "Can I tell you something? But you can't tell Bloom about it," he finally said.
Oh he needs a friend! Flora thought. That was progress if he was finally starting to trust one of his friends. "I promise," she told him.
"I don't think I love Bloom." he told her.
"What?" Flora exclaimed. She hadn't expected this.
"It's just, I understand Bloom is trying to help me, but it's like she's forcing me to remember stuff about our relationship more than who am I. I know she loves and I know the old Sky must have loved her back, but it's like she's forcing me to love her again. What I want to know is who my parents are, who were my friends, what did I do, did I accomplish anything good or bad?" he said, all what he had been feelings had just tumbled out of his mouth for Bloom's best friend to hear.
Flora thought about what Sky said for a minute and understood. Bloom had been pressuring him too much about their relationship. "I understand Sky," she told him, "but you two have been through a lot to be together. She can't stand losing you because you lost her memories. I'm not saying what she's doing is right, but see it from her point of view."
She got up and walked to the door, but Sky called her.
"Yes Sky?" she said kindly.
"Thank you for listening," he said walking up to her.
"That's what friends for," she reminded him. Sky nodded and kissed her on the cheek.
"Helia is one lucky guy." Sky told her quietly.
"Thank you," Flora replied blushing. She left the room, deciding to tell Bloom Sky wasn't at Red Fountain.
