From where she lay on the bed, Regina saw little more then the sway of her apple tree as it was hit with wind and rain. Large droplets of water spattered against the window and the ground with such force that the bunette could almost hear a small echo with each one. The curtains swayed in a wild dance, and her own hair joined in. She had long ago wished to close the window, before the wind had begun, before the scent of pertricher came to her, but at the insistance of the woman beside her in bed, she stayed still. As Emma had snuggled deeper into her and burrowed further under the blankets after goosebumps appeared upon pale skin, Regina tried to figure out the logic, but found none. The brunette herself wasn't cold, but she also lifted the blanket a little around herself and matched her lover's movements. Her mind went to other rainy mornings like this one, knowing that it too shall become filled with lunches to pack, goodbyes and welcome home's, homework, paperwork, dinner, some television, and a round or three of lovemaking before a new day starts again. A small rumble sounded in the sky. For once it wasn't Regina making nature angry. For once she was safe and warm, even with the window open. Next to her, the blanket lifted suddenly, before it draped over her head. An arm found her waist, and Regina found her body molding into Emma's as her eyes adjusted to the slightly darker, damper atmosphere. Even here she saw the green of Emma's eyes as they twinkled mischieviously at her. No words were spoken as Regina scooted her upper body so that her chest touched Emma's and their lips met tenderly, the sound of rain somewhere around them, but so far away at the same time. Soon Henry's alarm clock would wake him, and the water in the bathroom will start up, which would signal to them that their liesure must come to an end. Until then, Regina took in the lips and the love of her Savior as the sound of rain faded into the morning.
