Killer in the Shadows
Silent as a fox, I've heard them say.
You couldn't sneak up on me if you tried.
Speed like a god's, they whisper.
You could hardly run fast enough to catch a wild rabbit. But that was when you were mine. Fetching my water, pouring my sake. My personal servant. My baka deshi.
But you failed me.
You became theirs. Stalking, killing, selling your soul. Their deadly weapon. Their tool.
When will you become yours?
I only hope that wherever your path leads next, it never comes back here. So I can go on believing you will never fail yourself.
