A/N: Okay so I have been wanting to post this forever but haven't had time to finish it until now. So, even though this was supposed to be a oneshot it is going up in parts because my muse is playing hooky...so anywayz review please and if you see a tinkerbell-sized, red-haired, purple muse-lookin thingy tell her I said I'd approve her raise if she comes back;)

Disclaimer: I tried kidnapping them but Sara found the whole in my trunk and Grissom set the bees on me.

Gil Grissom sat alone in the fenced-in lot taking notes on the bugs that were beginning to infest the 'pig in a blanket' in front of him. All night he had been telling himself that he was out here in the cold because the victim, Kaye Shelton, deserved justice. He knew, however, that the real reasoning behind this late night luau was a certain brown-eyed coworker. When he got over the initial shock of Sara's offer for him to sleep with her, he realized how troubled she had become over this case. As if having to pull her off a murder suspect wasn't enough of a hint. He hated the feeling he got when he gave her the news on his original entomological timeline findings. She had looked at him as though he had just crushed her whole world and walked away. So he decided that the best way to squelch the feeling of self-disappointment was to spend the night sitting on a crate at the back of the crime lab with Miss Piggy.

Sara had only been home for ten minutes when she heard her phone ring.

"Sidle" She answered.

"Hey Sara, this is Jim, I just thought you might want to know that Gil is having a cookout with his bugs at the back of the crime lab."

"What are you talking about Jim?"

"He's redoing the bug timeline thing. He said something about how he forgot to figure in the blanket the vic was wrapped in. It looked like he was going to be out there all night, you should go keep him company Sara. He can talk to his bugs all he wants but they can't answer back."

"Thanks Jim, I'm leaving in a minute."

"Sara?"

"Yeah?"

"Go easy on him, I think he feels guilty about not getting this guy for you."

For me? She wanted to ask him to elaborate on that last statement but instead she just sighed.

"I will, Bye."

"Bye."

It had only taken her five minutes to brew a fresh pot of coffee and grab a few things before she was once again headed out the door.

Okay so there it is, I know it may suck but for anyone who cares I will update by Wednesday so please review and at least let me know if it sucked.
