A/N: So, I saw this on Tumblr, so whoever thought of this gets credit. I decided to write a FF about it, but WARNING! May cause tears and head-banging.

The Doctor stood there. Horrified. He hadn't said it. He had been so close and it slipped away.

"Please." He said out loud.

"Are you sure? It will only hurt more to see her after."

"I know. Trust me, I know. But I need to see how much I ruined her life."

"There's barely enough power left. Just enough to see 2 minutes. But only one-way. She won't be able to see you."

"Just let me see her." The TARDIS sighed.

"When?"

"Right after. Right after I didn't say it."

"Here we go." And the Doctor pulled the scanner around to see Bad Wolf Bay. Just as he had left it. Rose standing there. She was hunched over, crying into her hands. She turned around and he saw her mascara stained face, tears streaming down. She shook with sobs and ran towards her mother. The Doctor felt tears coming and quickly wiped them away. Rose sobbed into her mother's shoulder. He could hear her trying to speak.

"Mum… How can- How can I?" She said, her sobs slowly receding. "How can I live a life without him?"

"I know it'll be hard love, but you've got to." Jackie said, looking at her daughter sympathetically. Rose looked around the beach.

"I'll wait." Rose said. "Not forever, because the Doctor wouldn't want that. But he told me, he said 'always wait 5 and a half hours.' And that's how long I'm going to wait. Then if he's not here, I will sp-end every waking moment getting back to him. Whatever it takes."

"Oh sweetheart you know he can't get back. And neither can you." Jackie said sadly.

"I don't care. I've seen so many things with him, I know nothing's impossible. I'll wait." Jackie looked defeated. She knew she couldn't win this fight. Rose sat down on the beach and hugged her knees to her chest.

"5 and a half hours." Jackie looked back at Pete and Mickey, and then sat down next to her.

"Turn it off." The Doctor's voice cracked. "Turn it off now." He felt tears running down his face and quickly wiped them away. He wanted to turn around and run into his mother's arms. Or even better Rose's, but they were both gone. Forever.
