Dedication: To Jeni my best friend, she's a weirdo, but a very funny weirdo! And to the two gals who make these poems possible, you know who there are, stand up and take a bow!
Story behind the poem; It has been many life times past for our gals, but there meant to be together. There souls are drawn to each other, and here they meet in a modern time, and see all that they had and still have!
As I stepped into a cafe one day,
I stopped and stared in awe,
Had I met you a time before,
Upon a long gone distant shore.
My mind filled with images,
Memories of a time,
When I had once held you close,
For forever you were mine.
As I sit and watch you,
I have memories of a kiss,
Impossible as it may seem,
But once my life was bliss.
We look into each other's eyes,
Blue and green do hold,
And as we watch each other closely,
Our destinies do unfold.
I left you on a mountaintop,
Under the setting sun,
I never really left you,
I just knew what had to be done.
Now as I stretch my hand out,
And touch your golden hair,
I know my life has changed for good,
For we are meant to be a pair.
We leave together arm in arm,
We will never forget our past,
My life has begun fresh and new,
For I've found you, my bard, at last.
