One sunny day Haruka was laying on the rock like normal, observing the humans who lived on the island close to his home, he always found them fascinating but his father warned him about them saying that they were selfish greedy and murderous.
He noticed the sun was setting and it was getting late. He jumped off the medium sized rock and flapped his beautiful aqua blue tail launching him forward.
Five minutes later he arrived home. He was being as quiet as possible so his father wouldn't notice he left. Luckily his father wasn't home yet.
Later that evening his father arrived. Haruka wanted to ask his dad something but remembered that he was 17 years old and that his birthday was in 2 days time and he had been planning a giant party. His father was probably exhausted so he waited for tomorrow.
He was way too excited to see his sister who he hasn't seen for a year.
When Haruka swam up to watch the sun rise he eyed the lighthouse out. Oh how he wished he could be on land. Suddenly he heard ringing in his ears, he knew his father was calling him so he to the surface where he saw his father. Haruka swam closer.
"Come here, son." His father commanded. Haruka swam even closer.
"What's up, dad?" He asked curiosly.
His dad's eyes started watering and turning red. "It's about your sister, she was captured by those humans." His father started sobbing uncontrollably.
Haruka bursted out in tears, his sister was the closest relative he had because besides his sister and his father all of his family has passed on. Haruka and his dad were never close.
About an hour later Haruka swam to his bedroom which was basically a cave. He entered the hole which was the entrance. He cried himself to sleep that night.
The next morning he went to clear his head on the rock he spends most of his days basking in the sun. His eyes landed on something that looked like a person.
He swam full speed to the human and checked for a pulse, his pulse was weak. The man was tall with brown hair. Haruka grabbed the man and took him to the rock.
He laid the man gently on the rock. Suddenly the man's eyes began to stir, he was waking up.
The man's beautiful forest green eyes flung open and he quickly sat up and coughed all the water out.
"Who are you?" The taller man asked.
Haruka hid his tail behind the rock, and replied "Haruka Nanase."
"Makoto Tachibana." The taller man held out his hand and smiled warmly at Haruka. Haruka shook his hand and reciprocated the smile
