My first FANFICT! So, bare with me if it is truly awful. But please, read and review! Criticize, don't pity! This is Spike's point of view during the episode "Chosen", his final moments.

It Sparks and Burns

I feel it

I used to think that it was useless really

Only there to make you feel awful

And now I feel it there

First time in a long time

With chaos around me

Shouts and screams of death encircling me

Flashes of violence

But I never see it clearly

I feel what I hadn't felt in years

Not since I was truly alive

I call out to her

I am not sure she hears me

That warmth is getting hotter

It feels like the sun on bare skin

It is exactly like the sun on my bare skin

But I don't feel agony of it

Only elation

I stumble

I feel the heat grow stronger

Until it expanded from within

Bright lights swept the halls of hell

Inhuman screams echoed in the traven

The land shook, and swayed

The scurrying of Slayers escaping

Then I saw her

Her face is full of awe

She tells me to come

to leave to collapsing hole

But I knew I couldn't

I must stay to the end of this nightmare

I bring it, I alone

She tells me she loves me

I remember the echoing words of the girl

"She will tell you before the end"

My end

She knew it too

But what is in her heart I see

She couldn't really truly love a monster

She holds my hand

It catches on fire

"Thank you, I know you don't mean it"

The words slipped from my lips

What she said made it bearable

I hear someone calling her name

She pulls away

She leaves from what made her life hell

I brought it tumbling down

I feel myself smiling

Maniac laugh that is mine

This is my end

She called me champion

I don't see why

My whole undead life a monster

I killed

I slayed

I tormented

But I fell in love

With who was totally wrong

But still is right

Spark and Burn

I, a monster,

will die a hero

I, who killed,

saved lives that will help others

I, who loved,

will die for her

Burning grows

I am a killer

I am a vampire who is ensouled

I am someone who loved

I am someone who is lost

I am destined to hell

I am no more

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The spark and burn is meaning his soul, which is mentioned in the show, 7th season (to those who don't know!). This WILL make more sense to those who watched the show.
