It's a very short fic. The story takes place in Germany a few days after they left Amestris. Enjoy. :)

Alphonse's Point of View

It had been a few days since we had left our world, our home. It was hard for me to accept this new life, but as long as I had brother, I'd be just fine. But I saw something in his eyes, we had accomplished so much, and yet, something seemed missing from his life. Brother didn't tend to daydream, but ever since we arrived in Germany, it seemed that was all he could ever do. I took my eyes away from the road for a few brief seconds to look at Edward, who sat on the left of me in the car.

"Brother your doing it again." I sighed.

"Doing what Al?" He said sulking.

"You know very well what I'm talking about." I replied, turning my sight back to the road.

" It's none of your damn business." He replied with annoyance.

"Brother....."

" Hm?"

" We should probably start looking early for replacements for your arm and leg, just to be on the safe side. " I suggested with a small smile.

I let my gaze slide back over to him, the tiny fraction of a smile I held left my face just as soon as it came. Brother usually was an expert at keeping his emotions locked up, but his eyes told me things I had never seen in him escape.

" I can't Alphonse. It's the only thing I have left of-"

"Winry?" I said. He didn't respond, but I knew his answer well enough. " Why didn't you tell her?"

" I didn't want her to wait for me to come back, I want her to fall in love and live a happy life. And, I don't know whether I could have left her after telling her that I-I-"

" Love her. " I said softly. He lowered his head, letting his bangs fall to hide his face from me. I gasped as I almost ran us off the road. But for that brief second, I could've sworn that I saw Edward.......

Crying.

Yes I know it's VERY short. It hurts my heart still that they never got together in the series! If they don't get together in the new episodes I'm going to throw a fit. Anyways, please review without flaming! And Thank you very much for reading! :D
