Glare and Julia
Sometimes it seemed sad they were divided by this rivalry, but it was heart-warming too.
Julia was just that way. Fierce. Competitive. Determined. Always striving to prove herself – and striving to prove those who struggled a bit to find that confidence in themselves.
Glare took all the rest of them because that was what she left him. The ones who were confident – maybe overconfident to a fault. He taught them modesty. He taught them to hone their strength.
And they met time and time again, watching their students, watching their little chicks fight each other from far away.
But not very often did they have time or the mental fortitude to talk. Because, when they could, one of them would be smarting from a bitter loss and the other striving for a victory.
But one day, the both of them knew an enemy would arise that they would fight together. And then the two halves would come together again. Light Fang and Night Claw. Glare and Julia.
They'd been the ones to choose it. The ones to trust the future, the hope – and their differences.
