AN: Hello all and welcome to this 12 day Drabble series I'll be will be taking place in universe of my other fanfic Hazards Sorrow and will primarily be Rukato. I wanted to present the universe in a more casual sense so this won't have any spoilers and will show the Rukato relationship in a bit more of a fun light. So anyway let's get to the first chapter with the first word.

Digimon Tamers: Hazards Drabbles

Chapter 1: Soup

Shinjuku, Japan

In the months that she had come to known him Rika had realized Takato had a large appetite and would eat most things. As far as she could tell he didn't have a favorite food or a favorite restaurant, he just ate.

While there was nothing wrong with that she just knew that if ever felt like going out he would be around. Eventually as her feelings began to develop for her fellow tamer she started to use his appetite to her advantage.

All she would have to do is call or text and simply say "Hey I'm hungry." and he would usually respond with "Where do you want to go." it would go on from there until they would meet up some place and eat together.

Rika wished she could label these outings as dates but unfortunately anytime she tried to give him any clue or show a sign she was interested he was clueless, who would of guessed that the guy who could read people so well couldn't figure out she had a crush on him.

It was however one day she discovered one food he didn't eat, soup. She had sent him a text about a new soup place that had opened up that Riley had told her was good, he responded immediately with a simple "No" this confused her a bit and she sent him a response asking if he was ok he responded with "I don't like soup."

This shocked her as she figured he liked most foods. She decided to press him asking "Why don't you like soup? Everyone likes soup." She got a simple response telling her to drop it and she did.

She didn't see him for a couple of days after that and even when she did see him, he ignored her. She decided to ask everyone if they had any idea why he was weird about soup.

First she asked Henry who said he didn't know and he thought Takato liked soup, when she asked Alice she was just shocked that there was a food that Takato didn't like.

Ryo ignored the question and instead tried to flirt with her and Jeri when asked tried to get Rika to try some weird food she was making. Rika couldn't figure it out, hell she couldn't even figure out why she cared so much it was just soup.

Alice guessed that it was because Rika wanted to learn more about Takato and seeing that he didn't like something made her want to know more. Rika deciding Alice was right as usual finally decided to call him, he answered after a few rings "What's up Rika?"

Rika asked them if he wanted to talk, he answered yes and they met at the park. When he arrived Rika got straight to her question "What the hell is up with you and soup." Sure it sounded a little mean and she didn't mean for it to come out as that but she was burning with curiosity at this point.

He frowned at her "Please just drop this." Rika saw his face, he really didn't want to talk about this but she continued on "Takato we're friends you can tell me why you seem to hate something that's just broth and noodles."

Takato sighed and looked at her "Fine I'll tell you." Rika tried not to show how happy she was that she had won. After some time collecting his thoughts Takato finally spoke "Someone I loved dearly used to make the best soup I've ever had, sadly they aren't around anymore so anytime I see soup it reminds me of them and it hurts."

Rika looked at him seeing the sadness in his eyes, she said nothing but hugged him instead. He took the hug from her wrapping his arms around her as she whispered to him "I'm sorry for making you remember that."

He smiled at her letting her know it's fine. She smiled back at him before she said "Hey you want to go get some sushi." He laughed a bit before responding "Yes, I'm starving."

She laughed as they took off for the sushi place, as the two fell into casual conversation neither realized that they were now holding hands as they walked down the street.
