Second Chances!
A/N: This is my first attempt to write a Grey's anatomy fanfic. It takes place when there all talking around the campfire from the last episode. Thanks! Thoughts are in parenthesis, and flashbacks are in italics.
"I miss my wife"
"I miss Izzie!" (Oops)
"Izzie?" said Gorge
"Izzie seriously?" replied Burke
"Damn it!" Said Alex
"Didn't that end badly last time, and if I recall it was your fault." Replied Derek
"I just said I missed her nothing else" complained Alex.
"Think he should tell her how he feels" Joe jumped in
"Really?" Alex questioned
Joe receives dirty looks
"What he should!" said Joe.
After a very long weekend the boys left and returned to Seattle Grace. George and Alex rode home in the car together. For the first hour they sat in silence until George said something.
"So, Izzie?" said George.
"Shut up O'Malley" responded Alex.
Seconds later.
"What should I do, I think I still love her" Alex said breaking the silence
"I think you should tell her, but if you hurt her again, just remember I know where you live"
"Haha very funny O'Malley, but you think I should tell her?" Alex asked
"I do, just don't hurt her"
"I got that, Thanks George" Alex said
"You called me George" George smirked
They sat in silence for the rest of the ride home; Alex sat thinking about what he was going to say to Izzie. H did like her, he really did, but would she like him back? A few hours later they returned to Seattle Grace. George had invited Alex over for dinner that night. Izzie and Meredith were home too. They all sat around and had a nice conversation about there camping trip, and at around ten thirty they decided to call it a night, and Alex went home. The next day in the locker room at the end of the day:
"Hey Iz" said Alex as he approached the locker room.
"Hey Alex, dinner last night was fun wasn't it?" Izzie asked
"Yea, we should do it again sometime"
"Sure, you can come over whenever you like" Izzie responded
"I didn't mean it like that"
"My Dr. Evil Spawn were you asking me out on a date?" Izzie asked
"Why yes I think I might just" Alex said
"I'll think about it, but remember what happened last time" said Izzie
"Yea, but I was stupid and a jerk"
"And your not stupid and a jerk now?" Izzie joked
"Very funny, but seriously I still love you, and I know you just loss Denny, but I'll help you get through it, the last thing I want for you is for you to be sad"
"Awe, thanks Alex, I'll think about it, and call you later" Izzie said
"Sure, Goodnight Iz" as he kissed the top of her forehead
"Goodnight Evil Spawn"
At about eight Izzie returned home, to Meredith and Derek making out.
"Get a room you two" joke Izzie.
" Hey Mer, can I talk to you for a second?"
"Sure thing, what up?" Meredith asked
"I think I still like Alex, and he still likes me, he told me when he asked me out tonight"
"That's great, "Iz"
"Yea, I was thinking maybe you and Derek would like to double with us, so it not totally awkward." Izzie asked Meredith.
"Yea sure how bout Friday?"
"Sure thanks!" Izzie said. "I'll call him"
Izzie goes into the other room to call Alex.
"Hello" he says
"Hello, Dr Spawn"
"My, my Dr. Model, how are you?"
"I'm fine"
"That you are" Alex teased
"So I was thinking, would you mind going on a double with Meredith and Derek Friday night?" Izzie asked.
"Not if it means spending time with you absolutely not"
"Great, see you then, and before then, both of those thens" Izzie joked. "I'll see you tomorrow"
"Good Night'
"Good night"
