"Would anyone like seconds?" Pema asked as everyone was finishing dinner at Air Temple Island.

"Yes please!" Bolin replied as he pushed aside an empty bowl.

"Sure thing dear, I'll have it in a moment" Pema said as she went to the kitchen

"Any news of Amon or Tarrlok?" Korra asked Tenzin.

"I'm afraid not, it appears that they just vanished, but Chief Saikhan has a search party out looking for them as we speak." Tenzin replied.

Korra sighed, she didn't like the fact that Amon had gotten away, he was still very dangerous and could be taking away peoples bending at that very moment for all she knew.

"Now Korra we must be patient, we've only just gotten back from the South Pole, something will turn up eventually, they can't hide forever." Tenzin said.

"Yeah Tenzin's right, will get them eventually." Mako stated, trying to comfort Korra.

"I guess you guys are right, this just puts me on edge, I'm the Avatar and I'm supposed to protect people, not let two dangerous bloodbenders get away." Korra said with an exhale.

"And you do protect people!" Bolin said enthusiastically, "You and Mako were able to stop Amon and end a war that was at its highest moment."

Just then the phone rang, Tenzin got up to answer the phone, "This is councilman Tenzin speaking." Everyone watched as Tenzin's face changed from normal to shocked in a moment of comprehension. "Yes, thank you, I will be there momentarily."

"What is it?" Korra asked as she jumped up from her seat.

"Amon and Tarrlok have been found, their bodies washed up on the shore, both of them…. are dead." Tenzin said in a stern voice

Korra, Mako, Bolin, and Asami all gasped at the same time.

"What…how…" Korra was confused, she saw Amon get away, how could he have just all of a sudden wash up on the shore dead.

"I am leaving now to go get the full report, would you four like to come?" Tenzin asked, they nodded their heads, "Very well, we will take Oogi." And Tenzin, Korra, Mako, Bolin, and Asami exited the dining room to head for the Republic City Police Station.

Chief Saikhan looked up to see a sky bison circle overhead and then land in front of the station.

"Tenzin." said Saikhan moving to where everyone had just gotten off of Oogi. "We found the bodies washed up against the shore a few hours ago, both bodies have serious burns, we think there might have been some sort of explosion."

"I see." Tenzin replied, nodding, clearly deep in thought.

"You found both bodies together?" Mako asked, "Because the last Korra and I saw of Tarrlok was in the attic on Air Temple Island, and we saw Amon get away using his waterbending."

"Yes." Chief Saikhan confirmed, "We believe the two were together before their deaths, we have some search parties searching the water and shore area for any clues we might be able to find."

"Do you think whatever happened could have been done intentionally?" Asami asked.

"Were not sure yet, will need to piece together what little information we have before we have a possible theory." Saikhan replied.

"It's sad that their dead but at least they can't hurt anybody else." Bolin noted.

"But Tarrlock helped us; did he really deserve to die?" Korra asked, she didn't know whether she was asking herself or the others.

"Korra there was nothing we could have done" Mako said, trying to reassure the young avatar.

"Thank you Saikhan, I will inform Lin." Tenzin said.

Saikhan nodded and walked into the police station.

"I believe it is time for us to return to Air Temple Island." Tenzin stated. And they all piled onto Oogi and left for the island.
