Joey didn't want to press the brakes. He didn't want to veer into parking garage. He merely wanted to zip past the terminals; the departing airplanes; the families and friends uttering their final goodbyes. And yet, it was like his beloved Satsuki had betrayed his heart as it slowed to a stop in the LAX parking lot.

"Doug," Joey whined in a defeated breath- his head hung low. "Why couldn't you stay longer?"

A large, pale hand descended upon Joey's sleeveless shoulder. "I know," Doug sulked back. "I don't want to leave. I don't want to, but… But I have to, Joey."

Releasing his grip from the steering wheel, Joey buried his face into one hand, heaving one deep sigh after the other, in hopes of holding back his stinging tears. Silence crept on for a moment.

"I'll be back before you know it. VidCon, remember? Then Summer in the City right after that? We'll see each other plenty."

Joey peeled his face from his fingers, blinking away the glisten in his eyes while a hopeful smirk flourished. "Yeah, I know."

Without warning, other than a tilted head and hazy eyes, Joey leaned into Doug for a kiss. Nothing like the passionate, frenzied lip locks they'd shared over the week beneath the covers of Joey's bed. This time, rosy lips softly sandwiched one atop the other.

The pair pulled away blushing and sighing quietly. "Alright, let's get outta here before you miss your frickin' flight," Joey snickered.

"You've got to unlock the doors first."

"Geez, I'm on it. I'm on it. There you go, Sir."

"Thank you, Sir."
