Minato's Last Moments
Authors Notes: I really just wrote this out of boredom so I hope it's alright and I was thinking about writing a sequel or continuing it. Let me know what you think.

Minato was lying on the ground surrounded by the fallen and wounded shinobe of his village. Medical ninja scurrying all around him trying to save their comrades when he heard someone scream.
"Get the hokage medical treatment now!" Suddenly there were several shinobe ranging from Chunin level to special ANBU. Someone lay him flat on his back he didn't know who it was neither did he care. He opened his eyes ever so slightly and whispered.
"Bring me my son." All too suddenly there were demands being made and people hurrying around him once again. A tiny baby boy was placed in his arms with the medical ninja providing assistance as he rolled onto his side and held his son ever so gently in his arms.
"Where is Kushina?" He whispered almost silently as his newborn son wriggled in his arms. All fell quiet as the battlefield was cleared apart from Minato his son and the remaining shinobe who surrounded them.
"I am still hokage until I breathe my last breath and I demand to know where my wife is." Although it was meant to sound like an order it was more like a silent plea as only the Kunoichi he was resting his head on heard him.
"Lady Kushina has passed Minato-sama." She croaked her voice full of regret and remorse.
The fourth hokage sat up slightly although it hurt so much.
"Stop administering medical care it will not work. I used a sacrificing jutsu you are only prolonging my suffering and pain" He again whispered as his voice would not allow him to speak any higher. All shinobe ceased what they were doing and looked at the strongest ninja in their village with deep sadness as he cradled his small child, tears running down his face as his infant fell fast asleep in his arms.
"Tell Kakashi to look after my son and tell the third that no one should ever speak of him as the Jinchuriki. I want him to have at least a somewhat normal life. He should be seen as a hero for this village and I will not stand to see him shunned. And finally someone please inform master Jirayah that I asked him to watch over my son even if it is from Konoha's shadows" He whispered as his eyes closed and his arms went limb around his son. The last thing the great Shinobe heard was his son wailing as he was removed from his arms. The hokage very faintly heard someone speak.
"Kakashi your sensei has entrusted you with this child. Not as a parent but as his sensei. He has entrusted you with his will of fire. Make him proud."
The almost unconscious hokage felt a small droplet on his cheek.
"I will protect him Minato-sensei."
The great fourth hokage then breathed his last breath and with a slight smile, he left his son in the capable hands of his student and sensei while he joined in wife in heaven above.
