It's been a while since I've taken on a quest. Today seems like good day for a new adventure, but I'm feeling hungry. I try to remedy the issue, I'm coming up blank. I'm near Lumbridge Castle, I decide to talk with the chef, maybe I can talk him into giving me something to eat. I have little to offer. Perhaps I will be pleasantly surprised by a woman chef. Perhaps my stylish shirt and vest will catch her attention. Maybe I can dazzle her with my rugged good looks and flowing mullet.
I enter the kitchen, nothing going. So much for my idea. Instead, I talk with a mustached cook. He talks about a problem he is having, asked if I can help. Something about a big cake for the Duke. Turns out this guy doesn't know how to keep ingredients in stock. I'll have to retrieve them for him – milk, egg, and flour. Good thing I got a bucket. I dash out the castle, past the crowd, and over the stream. Those darn ducks; they're either quacking or pooping.
With my bucket at the ready, it's time to get some milk. I find a cow and get to business. A tame cow, she lets me ease in and get what I need. Have a good evening, Betsy; I'm on my way. Down the path a bit further I hear chickens to my left. I bet there are some eggs there. Yep, and I take one. Now I am off to get the flour. Back down the path, over the stream. Things must being going well, no ducks. Down the road a bit further I find a wheat field. I take some wheat, then off to the windmill. I climb up the ladder. Now it is a simple matter of adding the wheat to the hopper and using the controls. Once I did this, I climbed back down the ladder and filled my pot with the flour. Back to Lumbdridge Castle. Using my map, I stay off the roads and take a move direct path.
Back at the castle, I give the ingredients to the cook. My reward, a slap in the face reminder that peasants like me don't get to attend parties for the Duke. I state that one day, maybe one day I will have a seat at the table. The forgetful cook throws salt in my wounds, tells me not to hold my breath. Well, how's that for gratitude. I need a drink and a nap.
