Sure your still here,
With your jokes and pranks,
And flirtatious ways,
But I can barely see you,
Not like I did once,
Once I saw you as a friend,
A crush,
Maybe even a lover,
I could look into your eyes,
And see my hopes and dreams,
Reflected back,
But now you're disappeared,
Out on patrol,
Visiting family,
And when you're here,
You never meet my eyes,
So I don't know if my dreams even exist,
Sure I could get over you,
Forgive and forget,
But how can I forgive you,
For breaking my heart,
And forget,
That you left with the biggest piece,
Because without that part to support the rest,
Everything else seems to crumble,
In to countless small splinters,
So that even if you returned your piece,
If a could see you as a friend,
A crush,
A lover,
If I forgave you,
I still wouldn't be able to fix it,
I wouldn't be able to forget,
You'd still be gone hidden by a mask,
That even I can't see though,
