Visitors to Chernobyl

Ok guys I just wanna say that this story was stuck in my mind after watching Chernobyl Diaries and well here I am and here you are reading this so here we go. (This might be a Collab with my friend Arial her username on FFnet is Roka78 and she wrote a really interesting story called Laira that I highly recommend.)
PROLOGUE:
In 1986 Chernobyl Reactor 4 exploded
The radiation level was worse than 400 atomic bombs
The nearby town of Privyat (i think that's the name) was abandoned overnight.
They had no time to gather any of their belongings.
Factories, Schools, Apartments, everything still rest where they left it.
It's a ghost town.
Or is it?
People that have tried to visit the town have been blocked by checkpoints surrounding Privyat.
Why would a "ghost town" be protected by Russian guards?
The radiation in the town is low and wouldn't kill you right away.
So why...
Today is May 26th, 2012 and Alexander Winters and his friends are going to visit Chernobyl.
They have disobeyed the warning signs.
They have gotten past the Guards.
They will pay...
for treading on the ground of the dead...
