Leland loved the Big Harbour. It was a lovely friendly place with tugboats. However, he always longed to sail out on the Big Ocean.
One day whilst Theodore was pulling him, he was lulled into a deep sleep.
"Hey mate!"
Leland looked around. Nearby he saw an orange barge.
"Who are you?" asked Leland.
"I'm Chris, and I know your name- its Leland!"
"How did you-"
"I'll explain later." The other barge grinned. "Come on, I want to give you a tour of the ocean!"
Where are we going first?" Leland asked eagerly.
"I'll let you pick." His strange companion said wisely.
Leland was confused. "I've no idea."
"Well, look around. There's plenty to choose from."
But all that could be seen was wide blue ocean and cloudless skies- and nothing else.
"Chris?"
But Chris was nowhere to be seen.
"Chris? Chris!"
"Leland, wake up! You're dreaming!" Called a familiar voice.
A shrill whistle echoed nearby, and he awoke with a start.
Theodore was looking concerned.
"Are you alright?" The little harbour tug asked.
"Yeah- I just think that maybe I should stay here instead of going in the ocean." Leland replied.
"Well, if you say so." But Theodore was still confused.
But Leland was glad to be home with his friends.
