Chapter 1:
Cane

It was a rainy night for Area 6. There was a tall man walking toward the base. He was about in his 50's but looked like he was in his 30's. "Hello," said the man to the guards. "Identification, please, sir," said one guard. The man showed him a card dating back 25 years ago. They still let him pass since he was a veteran. "Thank you, gentleman," said the man. "I remember this place. Hasn't changed much," whispered the man to himself.

He was holding a box. It said "To Fox." He entered the housing building where the military stayed in. He looked at a sign showing where Fox was. He passed a door that said, "Starfox Command Center." He looked for his door. "Hmm… Falco, no, Krystal, no. Here we are Fox." He knocked, but there was no answer. The man entered anyways. No one was home. The man decided to wait. He looked over and saw a media player. He played a CD (considered there dinosaur music) and waited. He looked at the pictures.

Soon, the man heard the door open. It was Fox. "Who are you?" asked Fox staring at the man. "Well, you can call me a lot of things, but, since you don't know me, I know you. You are Fox, James' son." "How do you know my dad?" "I was his best friend. I am also your long lost godfather. Your mother, had she ever say anything about a Cane?" "No." "Well, she might've forgotten about me."

After a few conversation, Fox grew a little fond of him. "Wow, you remind me of your father. So, I was assigned to be the substitute general. Where did that Hare general go?" "I'm not sure," said Fox. "Where did you get the nickname Cane?"

"Well, it was 23 years ago when Wolf O' Donnell first became Chancellor of a planet soon to be destroyed. I was with your father and there was something in the news saying about his arrival. "Hey, James, this bum's coming near the war site. What should we do?" "Assassinate him, of course." He was on top of this hill with a rifle that could blast through the hardest bullet-proof glass. He took a shot but missed. Guards were going up the hill but I decided to go to his vehicle and hit him with my cane. The guards chased me instead of him."

A blue vixen entered and was smiling at Fox. "So Fox aren't you gonna introduce me to your lady friend." "Fox, who is that?" asked Krystal. "This is my newly found godfather. And Cane this is my fiancée, Krystal." "All right, a goddaughter-in-law. I knew his dad. So, if you'll excuse me. Myself will unpack to the general's room. Bye."

Night came and Cane had a dream. (Gunshot) "James we are not gonna fuckin' gonna make it alive." "Yes we are Cane. The hell we are." Can saw a sniper. (Gunshot) Cane jumped in front of James to save him. "I am okay," said Cane shivery. "You are not gonna die! MEDIC!" (Gunshot) This time it hit James. He didn't speak. He was surely dead. He looked over. It was O' Donnell. (Flash forward) A thunder crashed when Cane stepped in the front porch of James' home. (Knock) "Cane what are you doing here?" asked Mrs. McCloud. "James. He's dead." She collapsed to the floor. Cane walked in and into Fox's baby room. He looked down the cradle and says, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry," quietly to the sleeping pup.

He woke up quickly. "Oh, god." He looked down and was thinking. "O' Donnell would expect a battle in two more days. I can't let the same thing happen again."
