Believing the Lies

Silver hair and icy blue eyes

Hiding behind a young boy's guise

Calm and collected, having no fears

No one ever saw the tears

A young boy with two best friends

Wonder how their story ends

We will begin at the start

Before the three were torn apart

He was young and on his own

Hated the feelings of being alone

Then he met them, a girl and a boy

Brought to his heart a great joy

But still time wore on

He saw fifteen years of dawns

He grew tired of this place

Grew tired of seeing the same face

The Ocean was a cage

He built a wall to hide his rage

The Island was a prison

So many emotions were risen

He had to escape, find a way out

In the end he chose the darkest route

He gave it all up when they came

Decided to play darkness's game

The boy tried to save him

Before his light began to dim

Still, slowly he sank into the murky portal

Darkness had snared another mortal

Where he awoke

Hidden behind his pain's own cloak

No one really knows

Yet he ended up his best friends foe

He met a scary lady

Unknown, she was quite shady

Yet he believed all her lies

And now all he wants is to die

He tried to save her

And now all his memories are just a blur

That lady, she fed him lies

Now he has to listen, as he cries

His heart was too weak

He couldn't gain what he seek

It belonged to him, but he lost it all

Slowly he began to fall

In his pain he made his greatest mistake

It was too late, he could not wake

His body was no longer his to control

As he fell deeper into the hole

They told him he dug his own grave

Now he couldn't be saved

But something snapped inside his core

He woke up, fought once more

He held the man back

Before he could whack and hack

He told them to run away

Maybe he would see them again one day

The evil that held him

It lost its limb

Lost its hold

Still he is so cold

He had betrayed them all

When he gave into darkness's call

Regret brewed inside

As he ran to hide

Why did he lock himself in?

To repay all of his horrible sins?

No matter what, those doors still shut

Leaving him with his words, a painful cut

The boy heard his last remark

"Take care of her", then all was dark

That was the greatest sacrifice

Gambling on his life, roll the dice

Now he's lost in the gloom

Left with the feeling of an impending doom

Sitting, wondering why

He believed all the horrible lies.
