Dominic left them an address. Just in case, they needed to contact him. Cell phones couldn't reach some of the places that he and Fran plan to hike. Where ever they came across a funny postcard, they would pick it up and send it to the others.
About two weeks into their trip, he called up his friend and asked if he got any mail. To his surprise, his friend said he had several postcards. He and Fran hanged out for a few days until the postcards came. He and Fran got a kick out of the cards especially Theo's card.
On the front, it showed a picture of a pizza. On the back, he wrote this:
A little taste of home…without the pineapples.
Theo
He laughed then picked out a postcard with a fish market. His reply got him a hit on the shoulder from Fran.
Thought you might want to see your cousins.
Dom
In Spain, they stopped in Mihad before they got any more postcards. Next postcard is woman chasing a man with a frying pan.
That is the fate that awaits you when you get home. Or you can see it in person with Casey and the new guy.
He laughed.
"What does it say?" Fran asked.
"My replacement is driving Casey nuts. I'm proud," He said cheerfully.
That earned him a laugh and another slap on the shoulder.
He picked out a postcard with a bull rider on it.
Bring it on, short stuff.
In France, they decided to spend time in Paris. City of Love and everything like that. While it wasn't his favorite city, he could understand it appeal. Fran loved it. That is when they got another round of cards from their friends.
Theo's postcard was a simple beach scene. You know beach and ocean in view.
Watch the others drown each other today. I wondered if RJ left the JKP to anyone.
He laughed and sent him a postcard with Napoleon on the front.
Saw the tower. Saw a few museums. Met your cousin.
In Belgium, Theo sent him a postcard of squares. He couldn't figure it out.
Figure it out.
In return, he sent a postcard of waffles.
Best food in the world.
In Netherlands, he sent him a postcard with a cow eating grass.
I hope the country still had food left.
He sent a postcard of a castle.
It had plenty of food when I left.
In Germany, it was a mountain landscape.
Watch the others try to kill themselves by climbing trees. I'm seeing a theme here.
He sent a postcard of a couple dancing with beer.
Don't drink the water.
In Poland, he got a picture of guy singing on a stage.
Decided to tour with Lu. I think I am scarred for life.
He laughed and sent a small village scene postcard.
Something peaceful to make all of those bad songs go away.
In Slovakia, he got a postcard of a cup of coffee.
Meet a strange guy in a trench coat in a coffee shop. Lu said he was high.
He laughed and sent off another postcard of outhouse.
Words aren't needed.
Strange enough in Austria, he got a birthday card. He laughed when he opened it up to see a cake getting slam into someone's face.
Please tell Fran do that for me. Oh, I always knew your mind was in the sewer.
Fran and him always got a laugh out of it.
In next country, it was the White House postcard.
Noisy. Crowded. But the city left me in awe.
He smiled as he picked out the next card. It was a chocolate fountain.
Best Chocolate in The World!
In Italy, it was a simple envelope with a simple card in it.
Master Phant is ill.
In that moment, he knew…he had to go home.
