What's Hiding in the Dark
Chapter 1: The Greeting
Yugi was in a traveling car in the back, gazing out the window. He wore a Old Navy, blue, long sleeves shirt, a pair of blue jeans, and tennis shoes. He was on his investigation to see if there were creatures in a castle that was believed to be over many years. When he heard a clear "We're here," Yugi looked out the window and said, "Thank you..." Yugi wasn't sure if he'll be able to see the truth if the legend of the castle is true as he went out of the car to get his suitcase that he brought with him. He gave the driver the money and went to the castle. Yugi was feeling a little nervous but he ignore it as he walked to the door. As his left hand grasped the knob, he gave a turn and pushed the door gently.
He walked through the door as the room was filled with gold as if the past was still there and never changed. Nothing was dirty. All gold was polished. All furniture were well polished and clean. Not a single web was on the walls as the walls were all red and had golden swirls. Somewhere in the distance had a mirror that Yugi notice. He tried walking to it but he heard someone say, "Welcome to my home, Yugi."
"Huh?" As Yugi looked up, he saw a tall young man that looked between 17 to 21 was on the stairs with a simple smile on his face. His eyes were violet and his hair was tri-colored just like Yugi's hair. His clothes were as though from between 1700s and mid-1800s. Yugi was feeling as though his heart thump very hard. He didn't know why.
"'Welcome to my home, Yugi.' is what I said. I'm sure didn't expect you coming. I have heard about you. How are you today?" The young man said. Yugi was confused and said, "I'm uh alright. I don't think I have been famous at all."
The man chuckled. "I only heard about you through your stories by television. Yugi was confused about television because he never been on TV before. Yugi had to ask. "What do you mean by me on TV?"
"I one time saw you and tried to know your name and did the other day. It took me a month to figure it out." He said. "Now, let me take you to your room. I'm sure you need it." He led to Yugi's room when Yugi followed and the room they went in was very old and yet didn't have a single cobweb in that room. Everything was just like the entrance room, have polished furniture all shining and sparkly, has the walls like the room but sky blue with golden lines around it. Yugi was very amazed. The man chuckled and helped him inside the room since Yugi didn't want to move. "I will call you out when dinner is ready. I want you ready though but it doesn't have to be like my kind of clothes." He walked out the door but Yugi stopped him and he looked at Yugi. "Yes?"
"I want to know your name since you are being generous to me.." Yugi was about to turn red but he tried his best not to. The man smiled and whispered in his ear with his voice soften, "My name is Yami.. Do not forget it..." Yami walked out the door as Yugi was looking straight as though Yami was standing there, blushing. He had his name echoing in head the way he said it. He couldn't believe a handsome man like him had a name that suited him in his language.
"Yami means dark or darkness... His name really suits him because he look as though a vampire. Could he be one..?" Yugi thought. When he realized he was standing there blushing, he quickly went to unpack to put things away and be ready for dinner. But the question that he only had was resting in his mind... What can he wear?
