A/N: Just a quick oneshot. It's my first official piece that I've put up on ff. This is set after season 7, after Hyde returns from Vegas. Except in this, he didn't get married. It's a JH happy ending. Enjoy. :)

Oh, and the song is not from the 70's, sadly. But I felt that it fit well.

He wasn't sure how he ended up at the Reservoir with her that night. The ride from the basement had been filled with silence. She'd looked out of the window the entire time, sitting as far away from him as possible. He'd stared straight ahead, intent on getting there quickly. He didn't even know how she'd ended up in the El Camino with him. All he remembered was that he had been sitting on the Forman's back porch drinking a beer when she'd walked over from Donna's, leaned up against his car, folded her arms and stared him down. The next thing he knew he was getting into his car as she got into the other side.

And so here they were. Sitting on the hood of the car while she walked away from him. He knew she wasn't going far, and he was right. When she got about twenty feet away she finally turned back to face him. It was pitch black outside, but he knew her well enough to know that her big eyes were glistening with tears.

"It's always going to be like this, isn't it?" She lifted her arms up and brought them back down to her sides, "With you and me?--We're always going to..." She took a deep breath, "You're never going to trust me. And you're always going to be jealous of Michael."

He hopped off of the car, stepping closer to her, "You're damn right I'm never going to trust you. Every time I turn my back for a second you're hopping into bed with Kelso."

She took a step closer to him, her anger rising, "Oh Steven that's not true and you know it! I have never cheated on you with Michael!"

"I'm always going to be your second choice Jackie. He's always going to be your," he mocked her, "true love."

She let out a sob that she muffled with a bitter laugh, "I've been in love with you since...forever, Steven! I was in love with you when I was still with him. How can that not be enough!?"

"The only reason we got together in the first place was because Kelso turned you down! If he hadn't you'd be married to him right now!"

"I only went back to him because you said you didn't feel anything! You acted like you hated me!"

By the glow of the moonlight he could see the tears silently streaming down her face, "You're the one who said you didn't feel anything!"

"Because I wanted you to say it first! You could never tell me how you felt. You were always so afraid to talk to me! Why are you scared of me Steven!?" She was full fledged crying now, her voice raised like it always did when she cried.

"And he told you he loved you all the time." His voice was quiet.

"No Steven! This isn't about Michael! This is about me and you. About how you can never tell me anything that you feel!"

"You want me to tell you how I feel?!" The sound of his voice scared her, and all she could do was nod. He took off his sunglasses, crossing his arms and sighing deeply, as he closed in the gap between them. He used his right hand to cup her face, "I love you Jacks. And I don't think...I don't think I'll ever stop."

Tears continued to pour down her face as she brought her own hand and placed it on his, "Oh Steven." She leaned her forehead against his, breathing heavily. He moved in to capture her lips with his own, tasting her salty tears.

When they finally pulled away he moved his other hand to the other side of her face, "What's wrong?"

She shook her head, "It's just..." She started sobbing, "I love you so much and...promise me you'll never leave me again Steven."

Their eyes met, "I won't leave you again." She kissed him this time, holding onto him for dear life.
