Passing Time

Looking to the clear sky,

Streaked with wisps of white,

I walk down this narrow road again,

Trekking into my broken heart.

- - -

You promised, you promised!

You would see me soon,

I waited, I waited!

How much time has passed?

- - -

Since you walked down that narrow road,

With me by your side,

We'd chat about our dreams,

Until you went to fulfill yours.

- - -

With a simple, "I'll be back soon!"

You left me for that dream goal,

I know you'll never get to it,

You could never survive without me.

- - -

I saw autumn leaves,

I saw bare branches,

I saw cherry blossoms,

I saw green leaves.

- - -

But they are all meaningless to me.

- - -

Have you forgotten about me?

About us?

All our happy times,

Gone just like that.

- - -

I'll be here,

I'll be crying,

Waiting for you to comfort me,

I want you to mend my heart.

- - -

As I walk down this narrow road,

Those deep emotions return,

I wish to feel like that again,

Yet . . . I know that is an impossible hope.

Hehe, what a sad poem. It's supposed to be Hoennshipping since I originally wrote it for the Hoennshippers, but I guess you could interpret it anyway you want.
