"Cloud, wake up…" Cloud knew who this voice was. It was his mothers, but Cloud didn't feel like waking up. His mother came over to the bed and started to tickle Cloud. Cloud started to laugh but suddenly his mood changed and he got out of bed and walked down stairs. His mother followed.
"I went down to the shop this morning and the Lockheart family were there, I said hello and we had a good chat and then I came home," His mother said. As soon as Cloud heard the word Lockheart he immediately looked at his mother. The Lockheart family lived next-door to Cloud and his mother. In their house there was a young girl named Tifa who Cloud looked out for. He thought she was the only one that liked him. Tifa lived with her mum and her dad. They liked, Cloud but no one knew much about him apart from his mother.
"Mum, when you went to the shops, was Tifa there?" Cloud asked. His mother smiled, "yeah she was, and she was in this lovely blue dress holding a flower basket for her mother." Cloud started to giggle.
Cloud thought of Tifa more then just a friend; no one knew that Cloud had a crush on Tifa. Later on after Cloud had had breakfast he walked outside to the water hole. He climbed the long pole and sat on the top. He then heard a voice saying his name. Cloud thought it was his mother but to his amazement it was Tifa.
"Cloud, what are you doing up here on your own?" Tifa asked. Cloud had never been this close to Tifa in his life.
"I wanted some fresh air, that's all," Cloud said trying to find something to say. Cloud saw a tear fall from her scarlet eyes.
"Tifa, why are you crying?" Cloud asked thinking of what could be making Tifa cry.
"Don't worry it is just my mother is ill and she said she is going to die soon, Cloud…do you know where people who have died go?" Tifa asked trying to wipe the tears from her eyes.
"My mum said they go up beyond Nimble Mountain, that's where my dad is," Cloud answered, pointing up to Nimble Mountain. Tifa looked up and put her head on Clouds shoulders. Cloud felt awkward. He didn't think Tifa liked him this much.
"Hey, look who's got a boyfriend," A voice said from below them. Cloud looked down to find it was one of Tifa's friends.
Tifa was fuming. "He's not my BOYFRIEND!"
Tifa said bye to Cloud and climbed down the pole and walked of home. Cloud sat in silence, wondering if she meant it. It sure sounded like it did. Cloud looked up at the stars and saw part of the life stream flowing along peacefully. Cloud wondered if his life would ever peaceful. Cloud climbed down and he saw Tifa's friend the one that made Tifa cry even harder outside her door. He stood in silence.
"Hi Cloud, I'm sorry about earlier I didn't want to make you feel like a loner or nothing even though you are."
Clouds fists tightened. The other boy walked off.
"By the way she loves me not you, so don't even try it kid."
That was it for Cloud he had snapped. Cloud ran up behind him and punched him in his back. The kid turned around. Cloud punched him in the face and then the stomach.
"How is this for you, huh," Cloud said letting his anger take control.
"Cloud Strife you are weak, you haven't got any strength that is just the anger fighting," The boy said. Tifa walked outside.
"Clouds not weak you are…" Tifa told the kid. "I thought as you as a friend and you just wanted to go out with me, you were using friendship to get what you wanted." The kid looked at Cloud. He got up and walked off. Tifa went over to Cloud.
"Cloud…I…I…I need to go now see you tomorrow," Tifa said as she walked through the door. Cloud stood there not knowing what had happened a minuet ago.
