Freewheeling
Introduction

She wanted to tune it all out.
Rima couldn't stand the arguing, she couldn't stand those idiots who self-pitied. The girl couldn't stand much of anything.
Except good comedy. And maybe that weird egg.
She used to show off her love of it, telling jokes, being happy. But Mashiro Rima just couldn't do it once she was…
Trailing off her train of thought, she sighed, grabbing a gag manga and attempting to distract herself further.
Slowly looking out her window, realizing that all the other kids were playing hurt her. She wanted to do what they were doing, to be brave enough to go outside. But Rima was scared. If her parents found out, if anyone she knew saw her…she would be punished. Although not directly, she would still suffer.
However, wouldn't her reward be just lovely if she managed to pull it off? To sneak out for the very first time? To be free?
And so she decided to be brave. Because her parents were too focused on arguing to realize their daughter was going to leave the house, cradling a small egg that appeared by her bed side one morning.
"Wow….you're a strange egg, aren't you?"
Silence. She continued to talk and walk.
"I wonder what you're going to hatch into, if you do. Cause you look more decorative than realistic."
"Who am I kidding? Talking to an egg of all things! I'm going to go nuts one day!"
"Oh yeah. I am almost at that point."
More silence. Rima just laughed. But it wasn't funny at all.
"Hey! I exist you know!"
"Huh?"
"So…you love comedy, eh?"
"W-what? That makes no sense!"
"But you're reading gag manga!"
"Does that prove anything?"
"I don't know…wait! I'll show ya something!"
"Bala-Balance!"
A little person popped right in front of Rima, and did a pose.
A funny, funny, pose.
That was when she laughed.
It was a wonderful, innocent, joyous laugh. Rima simply loved the feeling… this freedom was something she hadn't felt in a very long time.
Twirling around, she laughed some more, and eventually, it spread so much, everyone around her was laughing too.
It was a beautiful, beautiful thing.
And the egg, now known as KusuKusu, had finally hatched.
Another short intro, it's not my best though. :) I hope you liked though!
