Nepeta scampered through the heavenly meadow. The flowers seemed to be made of catnip. She stopped to sniff one and noticed Equius in the distance. She ran over on all fours and slide-tackled her moirail. He grunted as he was knocked onto his back and she nuzzled his chest.

"There you are," he said smiling softly. She stretched out on him and smiled.

"I thought I'd never see you again! A-after…" she stopped and her bottom lip quivered. She'd thought she'd never see him again after Gamzee killed him. He stuttered a sigh and as gently as he could, he put an arm around her.

"We're dead aren't we Equius?" she whimpered, tears starting to touch her cheeks. He nodded softly and she started to cry into his shoulder.

"I'm sorry Nepeta. I failed to protect you. I'm a bad moirail."

"No! Equius you're a great mewrail!" she said sitting up and putting a firm hand on his chest. He put his hand on her head softly and ever so gently. She nuzzled his hand and laid back down on his chest.

"Don't cry Nepeta," he said kissing her forehead, not wanting to further upset her by arguing. She laid her head on his shoulder and sprawled out on his chest. He started to sweat but it wasn't really that noticeable.

"Equius. I don't want to be dead."

"I know. Neither do I. I wish I could have stopped you from dying," he said nuzzling her warmly. Together, they spent the rest of their time there cuddling and comforting each other about their deaths. Neither had felt as bad as they did for not protecting their moirails and yet somehow, they were happy to be with each other.
