Happiness with Ice Cream on Top!

Frustration was all felt in the chilly atmosphere. And for the strangest reason, Mashiro Rima craved ice cream on a cold winter day. She didn't feel like crying, or laughing, or being angry.

Because she had felt it all just a minute ago, she didn't' care now.

Inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale.

Signing the papers, seeing the harsh truth unfold right before her eyes, her heart was broken by everyone.

Why should she care if her parents decided to finally divorce? To not work things out?

Why should she care if the one boy she loved was totally and utterly out of her reach?

Why should she care if KusuKusu wasn't there anymore?

The overdrive of emotions was over, and now she felt nothing at all.

Nothing, right?

"Young lady, why are you crying?"

Rima looked at the old woman, who suddenly appeared in front of her.

Or was it perhaps that she was there the whole time?

"I was? I didn't really notice."

She looked at what the woman was wheeling.

Ice cream.

"May I have some ice cream?"

The woman laughed, "But why? On a harsh winter eve?"

Rima shrugged, "Dunno."

She went a little closer to the cart and looked.

"Vanilla please."

The woman grabbed an ice cream bar with withering hands, slightly trembling in the cold. For some reason, this did not go unnoticed by the young girl. Who realized once again how lucky she was in one perspective, but how unhappy she was in another.

"You should really be home right now little girl, where are your friends? Or you family, perhaps?"

"No, none. They don't matter anymore."

The woman chuckled softly, but it ended up being a small cackle, "Well, I best be returning soon, you're going to be my last order for a long time. Ice cream always does cheer you up, doesn't it?"

"Yeah, it does."

Rima took her ice cream, and paid the woman money. Thinking on how she could perhaps, figure out her own mess.

She decided to say one thing. To one of the many people she may never see again, so maybe, she could have a happy memory for this one day.

"Have a wonderful day Miss!"

With an idiotic grin on her face, she skipped all the way to her next destination.

Happiness, with ice cream on top.

:( I seriously am hating this at the moment. However, this was based on something that actually happened to me today. With edits here and there, of course.
