Tonight is the night I finally leave this place but…after being here for nearly what? Twenty years? More? I've lost count along the way but I feel before I go I have to do something. She's been here much longer than I have and while she could leave any time she wants to she has stayed behind as well. She won't leave until the others do no matter how long that might be.

"Marionette?" I ask quietly around ten as I search for the young girl that hasn't aged a day since the moment she was murdered. I find her sitting quietly in the kitchen just playing with the cook's radio. "There you are."

She looks over at me with tears softly falling down her face, "You're leaving too aren't you Jasper…Colin already left and…"

"We'll be back sweetie." I answer taking a step forward, "But this isn't our prison anymore. We've only stayed this long for you and the other kids." I kneel down to her for a moment, "So before I go…can you do one thing for me?"

She lets out a hiccup as I reach past her for the radio, "What?" As I find the haunting melody I take her small hand into mine, "Gold?"

"Will you dance with me?" I ask softly leading her into the prep area as I just say with her.

Her porcelain face reddens as she looks away, "This is a love song…"

"And I can't love you?" I say with a warm smile, "One day my little Marionette can't we be together in the afterlife?"

"But will you wait for me?"

Slowly as I spin her around like I had done countless times in the past I nod, "I'll wait countless life times for you." I answer as I lift her up into my arms, "But I want to know the name of the girl I'm waiting for."

It's the first time I've seen her smile in over two decades as she wraps her arms around my neck, "Naomi…my name was Naomi."

"No honey your name is Naomi." I say as I dare to give her a small kiss on the forehead, "And don't ever forget it."

"But…" She can tell I'm fading away but I refuse to look away from her hazel eyes.

"So when I call out your name you know I'm calling for you." And with that I vanish into the white light. I want nothing more but to take her with me but until the truth is told she will remain. But the song we danced to is right…I'll love her for another thousand years.
