Trying something new here. Now in the Manga Kagome had blue eyes, in the anime she had brown, so im going manga and saying blue. Ami, akira, haruto are the names I gave to the kids of miroku and sango- side note.

Months. Years. Oh god how many years it's been. Inuyasha has asked himself many days about if he would ever become or be a good father to his offspring. He of course planned to do his best… but was it even enough? Not only Inuyasha but Kagome too, she feared her place as a mother. Though They were very sure that they wouldn't be terrible, that fear that could keep them up at night would knock on the door to their mind constantly. Sango and Miroku had three beautiful babies, shippo no longer was a child but a growing man.

Kagome and Inuyasha had tried many times for a child, They had miscarried or had negative results. The years came and went. 6 years later though, on a depressing day with rain thick enough to blind your path to the point where unless it was touching your face you couldn't see it, The news had come. Kagome had run into the waterfall of weather to their hut and practically cried the surprise to him. Finally, they would have a child. Kagome had a smooth pregnancy, excluding the fact that Inuyasha had practically smothered her with protection and anxiety the entire time.

In months she delivered a baby girl. She had soft chubby cheeks, Raven hair like her mother's, and a pair of fluffy dog ears poised on top of her head to match the soft short locks of hair she had. Her eyes were golden like her Father's. It was no secret she had demon in her, but it was a shock to even see the inu youkai ears on the infant due to how she had more human blood pulsing through her veins then youkai.

Inuyasha had suggested very warrior like names for her, while Kagome had wanted very delicate feminine names. They watched suns pass by before finally deciding a name on the child.

Izaiyoi

Though she had the pure qualities of both her parents, she looked like nothing more then a vague mirror image of Izaiyoi to Inuyasha. Kagome happily agreed to the title. This was their home. Everything was calm and in order. They were at her side through the years, they had no more children, but they were contempt.

"PA! PA!" Inuyasha's ear flicked to the sound of his daughter's barking of his name. He was currently in the village with Miroku assisting cleansing a home of demons, but he switched priorities quickly dropping the monk's sutras and dashing off to his young. He bound to her and landed at her presence, she was pulling a ribbon from a group of teasing human boys. "All bark and no bite pup?" teased a boy. The children laughed as she snarled and yanked. "STOP IT!" She snapped. Inuyasha intervened stepping in ripping the ribbon from the tug-o-war. His eyes pierced the very souls of the children and they paused in fear. "She's only nine…" he grunted under his breath. A growl rumbled from his chest, no one touched him yet they could practically feel the vibrations from it.

They sprinted off in seconds leaving the two kin alone. He looked to Izaiyoi and dropped to one knee. "How did this happen, Kid?" he asked her. She shrugged, huffing off the tears. "It's nothin'." She protested. Her obvious pout now showing the true emotions buried in the situation. She was stubborn, and if the apple didn't fall far, unbreakably stubborn. Inuyasha chewed on his cheek trying to feel the situation out, not truly knowing how to handle it. Feeling himself grow irritated at the deep thinking, he decided to go about it in a sly manor.

He stood to his feet, his child looking up to him. "C'mon, your ma is making some good dinner and I doubt either of us will wanna miss it." He grinned. Izaiyoi softly beamed, wiping away her tears. He knelt down and propped her upon his back. Standing back to his feet, he began his sprint back home. It was quiet, and he wanted to break that.

"I smell salt." He noted. He felt her shuffle on his back, his gut writhing knowing she was still weeping. He immediately stopped and slid to a halt. She peeked over his shoulder trying to see why they had suddenly paused the jog. His autumn eyes caught this and took the moment for his advantage, "'kay kid, what's going on." She held her tongue, he responded with a grunt. "Listen, I can wait all day for this story. Now you can either give it to me now, or handle all that babyin' from your ma. You decide whats worse, buckling down or a night of smothering."

Izaiyoi sighed, suddenly shaken from the thought of her mother's at times overbearing love. "They said I was weak." She mumbled. "Why's that?" He asked. He felt her shrug, and resumed a slow paced walk. "I ain't got powers." She sighed. "Powers?" he asked. "Yeah, you and mama have miko and demon powers… and I got nothing…"

Inuyasha stopped walking right as they hit their shrine. "Your ma didn't have any powers either, at least not until she was 16." He noted. "But she was a miko."

"Who knows, kid. Just don't give up so quickly. Your time will come." He smiled. He felt his heart warm at the feeling of his child adjusting to the comfort of his back, now at ease. "Inuyasha, You've been out for hours!" Kagome barked from the home. The two looked upon the sight of the miko standing before them irritated. "Better have a good reason for it!" She snipped. Inuyasha only grinned in response, remembering his side of the silent bargain. "Just talkin'." He fibbed.

Lord almighty he was not prepared for this. His heart pounded in his chest harder than any drum in the east. His anger rolled into thunder like growls from his chest. No. NO. N O. To say he was enraged was an understatement. "Kagome…" he growled. She came to him. "What- Inuyasha calm down." She huffed. They both stared out the doorway to see the now young lady discussing with local village men as she held a bale of hay over her shoulder. Inuyasha smelled their hormones from his standing. He hated it. "You realize that not every man she speaks with is trying to take her as his own, right?" Kagome chuckled. "She's just a kid-" "Sixteen." Kagome intruded. He looked at her with his daring golden eyes flashing stubbornness, "Kid."

He kept his gaze locked as he watched every single detail of the scene. He grit his teeth when one of the men got closer then he would've liked. He watched, as if in slow motion, as one of the men gently dropped a hand on her shoulder. Within a blink, Inuyasha found himself standing between them. "Give the hay and move along." He growled at his daughter. Her matching eyes dropped to a glare as she tossed the hay to the men. Izaiyoi, however, forgot to take note of her strength and didn't head to the men now on the ground overpowered by the weight of the hay upon them.

"Izzy." He huffed. She rolled her eyes and walked past her standing father. He whipped around to her direction, "Hey, I'm talking to you!" He snapped. She waved her hand at him and dismissed his call. He glared and dashed to his child, stopping in front of her. She jumped slightly, but held her ground. Inuyasha's chest vibrated with restrained growls. "You don't understand their true intentions."

"Pa, not everyone is trying to take me as their own, you know that right?" She asked exhausted. He felt himself suddenly ease, hearing his daughter quote his wife. If it weren't for those eyes she'd be a spitting image of Kagome. Though she carried herself like her father and was built more athletic than the miko, she was only a gene away from being a clone.

He sighed, looking away and following her back to their home. Once they arrived, Kagome held a stern look at her husband. "Izzy, can I have a moment with your father?" Kagome asked. She shrugged in response, "I'll be out with Shippo." She stated before once more leaving them. Inuyasha watched his daughter run off, but quickly shifted his eyes back to his wife before him. "Really." She grunted. "Kagome, listen." She rolled her eyes groaning, "No! no more listening, you need to roll back the protection." She demanded. "She's becoming a woman, and whether you like it or not, she's going to be noticed." Inuyasha felt himself go cold at her words. He decided he needed to distract himself from her honesty and focus on something new. He stared at her eyes, grinning at the gorgeous blue iris' posed before him. Though her eyes were slanted with irritation, they were stunning to him none the less.

He then took note of the slight lines becoming visible in the corners of her eyes, he felt his heart weaken. He knew Kagome would age, though she had the advantage of slowing that down thanks to their consummation, the age was going to catch up with her. He quickly wrapped her into an embrace, cutting her off whatever rant she was on. He inhaled her scent, happy to still be able to even have her in that moment. Kagome felt his aura and only responded by wrapping her arms around him as well, feeling a stronger desire to show compassion than anger.

Shippo and Izaiyoi ran through the woods, her hair now pinned up in a ribbon, her pants rolled up to her knees, and her sleeves pushed back to her elbows. They trampled through dirt and mud and Shippo looked back to her. "Ready?" he asked. She nodded grinning with determination, and within that moment-they were there.

"You swear this is it?" She asked. "There's not many empty ones like it." He huffed. She bit her lip looking deep into it. "You put the sutras up right?" She asked followed by a nod from her companion. "They will think we are still in the woods. We're clear." "Now remember the deal-" "Yeah yeah," Shippo intruded, "If you yell the word I jump in before you hurt yourself." She nodded to his words and poised herself upon the edging. "God I hope this does work…" she muttered to herself. She heard all the many tales of her parents time bouncing and how it had sealed, but she had to try it once. Just once…

With one deep breath she pushed herself forward into the well.
