Derek Hazel couldn't believe he was actually trying this.
I mean, It's a rumor...FROM A VIDEO GAME! It is not physically POSSIBLE for it to exist in real life.
And yet here he was.
Two minutes to midnight.
Staring into an empty television.
Persona 4, a game revolving around jumping into TVs, and saving people by yelling "PERSONA" and beating the crap outta shadows. Although I probably coulda put that better, The game was awesome.
And it all started with the midnight channel.
All you had to do was stare into a blank television at exactly midnight, and you'll supposedly see somebody.
11:59.
It was now or never for Derek. He already knew that nothing would appear, but he couldn't help it. Being the nerd that he is, he just had to try it. Just like he tried everything else. From every other game.
12:00.

Derek let out an audible chuckle. Nothing appeared. He figured as much.
Really why would something appear-
"...and I'm ready to score me a hot stud!"
Derek's head whirled back to the TV. In front of him, was a certain Yukiko Amagi. On the TV though. Not in his house.
Derek was surprised. He he honestly couldn't believe his eyes. It was real.
IT WAS REAL.
Derek slowly moved towards the TV. And tried to touch the screen.
