He was very confident of himself, you know. He always knew what to do, how to do it. He knew that his father loved him, in his own way, but he did. He was the king and he liked that way. He liked having control on his life and on everyone else's.
And now everything was gone. His confidence. His father. Having control. This was his kingdom come.
Everything was so different now, Kyle felt anger, disappointment, sadness, frustration. He was now ashamed of the way he looked. He was used to people looking at him, talking about his life and how amazing it was. He always had his head up, and he had a look that showed that he was in charge, and now he couldn't even look Zola on the eyes.
He was sad that this was the way his soul looked; ugly and broken. He was ashamed because his mom would've never wanted Kyle to be this monster.
He felt anger because his father abandoned him, just like that. Was he so ugly that his own father wanted to hide him? Was he so ugly that his father didn't wanted to talk to him? He was his son for Gods sake, he was all the family his father had.
With time Kyle started to feel like he was a whole new person. And he didn't knew his new him, thats whats bothered him the most; he didn't knew if he liked the new him or if he hated him.
The new him cared about Lindy. The new him wanted her happiness even if that costed his. And that's what he didn't liked, he wanted to be normal again, he wanted the old him. He wanted his happiness back. But if Lindy wanted a life without him he would let her have it. Even if that meant to stay like this forever.
The old him was the man who never loved anything at all. The old him only cared about himself. The old him used people to get what he wanted. The old him would never fall in love with someone like Lindy. The old him was a douche.
Kyle didn't knew who he was. He had changed but he wasn't even close to what his mom, Lindy or Kendra wanted him to. He wasn't even close to what he wanted to be, and he didn't even knew what he wanted to be.
He was only half healed.
