As light fades and darkness slips in,
I close my eyes and begin,
to dream of you and me side by side,
always together until the day we died.
Not letting go, always hanging on,
Not giving up, still staying strong,
but instead were miles apart,
and my only friend is my broken heart.
i remember our past days,
your beautiful smile and glowing face.
We'd love all night without a cure,
now all i do is sit and stare,
staring into the setting sun,
i remember when you vowed i was the one.
you and me together, that was the plan,
we'd have our home and a piece of land,
not letting go, always hanging on,
not giving up, always staying strong.
but instead were miles apart,
