Jude slowly inched her way to the side of the bed so she wouldn't wake him. A spring in the mattress creaked and a moan came from the person on the other side of the bed. Muscular arms slid around her waist as he pulled her back towards him. A sigh escaped her and she gave up her fight to slip away. She knew she would be happier if she stayed with him in his bed forever. His eyes were still closed so she assumed he was still asleep. All of the sudden his eyelids shot open revealing the light blue eyes that lay hidden underneath, she got lost almost instantly in them. They caused her to forget why she ever wanted to leave in the first place.
"We still have two hours until we need to be at the studio. Do you really want to leave already?" Tommy asked.
" I think it's my day to take the kids to school and Jamie might get suspicious if I shirk my motherly duties," Jude replied.
"Where did you tell him you would be last night?" Tommy asked, his curiosity increased.
"I told him I was going to stay at Sadie's and help out with little Sarah. It wasn't technically a lie, I visited her before I came here," Jude stated looking guiltily down at the bedspread. Tommy wanted to take away the guilt he caused her, but he knew the deed had already been done. He called her the night before and asked her to come over. Tommy was lonely; then again without her he was always lonely. He wrapped his arms tightly around her and she snuggled against his chest. Jude hadn't regret coming the night before. She only regretted having to be secretive. Jude loved both Tommy and Jamie. Together they formed the perfect man for her. She just always hated choosing and Tommy hurt her the night that Jamie proposed. Tommy thought she was probably better off with Jamie and she knew what divorce did to the children caught in the middle. She didn't want to hurt her children or Jamie, but she couldn't deny her feelings for Tommy anymore. He looked into her tear-filled eyes, lifted her chin, and kissed her tenderly on the lips. All of the love they had for each other, they poured into it. After a few minutes Jude pulled away.
"Tommy, I really do have to go," she said staring him straight in the eyes. She pushed herself off the bed and walked around the room, retrieving her various items of clothing. She put them on one by one and turned back towards him. "I'll see you at work later," she said and then gave him a peck on the cheek. She grabbed her wedding ring and car keys off his bedside table and walked out the door. Tears silently slid down her face as she got into her car and drove back to her façade of a happy wife.
