Donna Noble, Psychiatrist's Field Day
"So, Donna, tell me a bit about the symptoms you've got."
"I swear, I see people and I know them from somewhere, but I can't remember."
"Can I have some examples?"
"You."
"Me?"
"Yeah... Somehow, the name 'Doctor Moon' rings a bell, even your face is familiar... Something about... a library, I think."
"Well, I certainly can't see how I'm connected to any sort of library... Anything else?"
"Yeah... I used to see this group of four people walking around every now and again. Three of them looked really familiar. There was a woman with red hair, that I swear I've seen before, and another woman with really curly blond hair. The curly haired one somehow reminds me of the library thing as well, and... something about shadows, I think. And then, this is the really weird bit, there's a man, and he wears weird hats and bow ties, and whenever I try to get a better look at the two women, he looks at me, like he knows me, and then he steers the others away."
"That does seem strange... Anything more recent?"
"I've seen another man, older, and with curly-ish hair, and he's familiar too... I think I saw him around the same time that I saw the redheaded woman..."
"And were those two - the older man and the redhead - connected to the library also?"
"No, that was different. But you know what it's like?"
"What?"
"It's like, you have a TV show with a bunch of characters, but the directors can only use like ten actors. So the actors keep rotating and playing different parts, so you see them over and over again."
"That's an interesting analogy. Anything else strange?"
"A few more. There's this box I see sometimes on street corners, a blue box, and I look at it, and it's familiar. It feels... like home to me. But whenever I approach, I get a nasty headache. I think I might be allergic to the paint or something."
"That's pretty common, an allergy to paint. What else?"
"My mom has this box set of Agatha Christie novels, and one of them is dedicated to Donna Noble. And I know it's someone else, but somehow, it's weird, I feel like I had something to do with it."
"Well, that's silly, of course, you couldn't possibly-"
"I know, but still, it's so weird. And there's one more thing. The very strangest one."
"Tell me."
"Remember how everyone was talking about the planets in the sky?"
"Yeah, I remember that."
"Well, everyone says I missed it, and I must've, because I woke up in bed and it was over. But I swear, I know about it. Like I was there, almost. And whenever I ask my mum or gramps about it, they just go all quiet, like something sad happened. And the same thing with the Christmas Star that time, and those Adipose things, and the ATMOS cars that killed people. I missed them all, apparently, but I also remember them, and it makes no sense. It's like I was there and then I forgot about all of it."
"Hmmm... Well, there's one possibility, although I can't see how it makes any sense..."
"What's that?"
"Amnesia."
"Oh, well, that would explain a lot... Yeah, that must be it. God, I hope I didn't forget anything good..."
Hey y'alls! Just a little dialogue aiming to poke holes in the metacrisis plot, because it sucked. Hope you liked that!
