Full moon night.
Summary: Alucard reflecting on the nightlife and things happened in the past.
Disclaimer: I don't own anyone in this story. It's sad really.
It was a full moon night and Alucard stood on the roof, admiring the starry skies and the moon. It had been too long since he had seen a night like this. Peaceful, calm and boring. Yes, boring! There were no monsters to kill and no Anderson to fight or mock and make fun of and whatnot! The count took in a deep breath and let out a long very bored sigh. What could he do? Integra wasn't in the mood to deal with him, she was having her period and she was extra mean then and he wasn't about to risk getting beheaded by her. Not that he would die from it or anything, he just didn't want his head cut off! The vampire rolled his red eyes and grinned lopsided, "Perhaps a stroll around town will cheer me up." He said to himself and in one swift movement he was gone.
The town was unusually lively on a night like this. People were stargazing from their windows and on the streets, if something was going to happen he'd missed it. He eyed a paper but it said nothing about something happening tonight. No comets that could be seen or anything of the sort. Alucard shook his head and began walking again. Humans amazed him and yet, bored him out of his mind at the same time. How disappointing.
He started to walk around here and there, in and out of allies for fun. He liked to go 'Boo' in the dark and see the faces the humans made. It was funny. Then he started to walk down a familiar road. He knew this road from somewhere, long ago. Wait, wasn't this? Yes it was! It was the last street he'd been on since he tried to get Mina back! He was surprised to see the house still there! A small smirk went over his face as he walked up to the building. It had warning signs all around the fence and the gate was locked. Easily he jumped over the Iron Gate and swiftly disappeared into the house before a couple of police officers came walking passed.
Alucard took a deep breath, the smell of damp mold was in the air, but he didn't care. He was just very amazed that this house was still here! Jonathan had tracked him down to this house and tried to kill him. Hah! The fool failed though. Well, he had faked his death and gone back to Transylvania or Romania, as it is now known. He shook his head, his black hair falling into his blazing red eyes. Then he heard a noise coming from upstairs. He watched the only door leading to the room for a good long moment. When no one was going to step out he decided to go up and step in.
For five minutes he stood there in front of the door, not knowing whether or not he should go on there, it had been so long since then, so very long. The count grabbed the handle and opened the door, stepping into the room. It looked the same from before but well; it was more decayed and rotten then before, everything was just falling apart in here. He couldn't sense anyone in this room or in the room behind the next door to his left. Perhaps the presence was in the inner parts? Then again, why should he care? It wasn't his house anymore and he should be getting back, he'd been here longer then he had thought. It was almost dawn.
Turning into a mist like in the old days he swept out of the house, down into the streets and down the gutters and up again in his room in the mansion just in time. He opened his coffin and closed it once he was settled inside. He should visit that place again sometime.
A/N: In case anyone gets confused about what I'm talking about in this story, the house he enters. It's the house in the computer game "Dracula 2: Last Sanctuary." Unfortunately for me I never make it passed the big bat. And I can't open the box thing outside! Dx It annoys me! If ANYONE has played that game and gotten passed the monster and be able to open the damn thing outside the house, please help me! I beg of you!
