Title: The Perfect Night
Summary: Ginny misses her husband. Light and fluffy fic I made during a cold rainy night.

She terribly missed him. It's been a week since he left for a business trip and the big apartment has been quiet and boring since then.
It's half past eight in the evening. Looking through the big glass window, she realized that rain was spattering outside. Overlooking her window was the picturesque view of the London skyline. With a sigh and one last longing look at the city, she headed to the kitchens to prepare dinner for herself. After getting that done, she sauntered over to the couch to eat and possibly even finish some trashy romance novel she started reading early that morning. Once settled, she gave a soft swish of her wand and lights around the apartment immediately dimmed while her favourite song "Kissing" played softly in the background. She leaned her head against the couch and closed her eyes. Everything would have been almost perfect if only her husband were there snuggling with her.
Unbeknownst to her, the person she's been terribly missing apparated into the apartment a few minutes or so ago and just silently watched the beautiful redhead laying against the couch. Careful not to shake her from the relaxed state she was in, he quietly walked behind the couch and leaned over to give her a kiss on the forehead.
She would've yelped in surprise if those lips weren't all too familiar to her. She slowly opened her eyes to reveal her handsome angel hovering down on her. She gave him that special smile reserved only for him and for a moment he thought his heart stopped beating.
"Hi" she whispered.
"Hello, beautiful." He whispered back.
For a moment they just stayed still; staring at each other, hardly believing that they were actually mere inches apart. He broke the stillness with his lips lightly crashing down on her. She placed one hand on the side of his face and the other behind his head to lace her fingers through his soft blonde locks. It was a kiss full of longing and tenderness. After what seemed like eternity, they both broke apart from each other, panting. He manoeuvred her body so that he could carry her off the couch. By instinct she immediately wrapped her arms around his neck and her legs around his waist. They enveloped each other into a fierce hug both pouring into each other the unspoken emotions they've been carrying for the past week.
"Merlin, I missed you so much Ginny." He said
"I missed you too, Draco. More than you'll ever know."
Draco carried them back to the couch. Ginny perched on his lap. She placed her head against his shoulder while Draco leaned against the couch then wound his arms tightly around her waist. They sat there in comfortable silence with Draco occasionally bending down to place a kiss on the crown of her head or her temple. For several minutes they just sat there watching the city lights dance below them.
With dinner and novel completely forgotten and "Kissing" on repeat; there, on their favourite couch they both fell into deep sleep, arms wrapped around each other and contented smiles plastered on their faces. It was a perfect night.
FIN.
A/n: I originally wanted to use "Fresh Pair of Eyes" by Brooke Waggoner but I thought Bliss' "Kissing" was more perfect for the mood.
