As I sat on the front lawn of the schoolyard contrasting the meanings of what I've learned in my classes, so far, lost in the stillness of this perfect day, I saw Lily approach me. She was an angel, a pure angel. The only thing given from herself to others was kindness' often daydreamed of perhaps becoming her husband one day, but knew the chances were quite slim seeing as her infatuation with James Potter. As she approached I felt an unusual feeling of hatred and happiness at the same time, perhaps because of the fact that I'll never have her. "Hello Severus" she said, her voice like an angel. "Hi Lily, how are you?", I guess I got over my loss of voice with her. "Quite fine, I just finished my Potions class and was going to go for a walk. Do you care to join me?" I feel as if perhaps this was a dream; it was certainly a dream-like state, getting to walk alongside the girl of my dreams. As we walked I soaked in every detail; her voice, her beautiful eyes, and her flawless personality. I wanted to ask her to marry me right then and there but retained. As we reached Lily's destination, the Defense against the Dark Arts corridor, Lily gazed at me for a short while. As she broke her gaze and started to turn away a sudden rush took over me. I reached out and took her hand. She, to my astonishment, took my hand back, and we stood gazing at each other for a great while until an even more magnificent urge took over me. I stepped forward and with every ounce of courage I had pushed my lips against hers. It was the most beautiful moment and was followed by agonizing pain. "Stupefy!" the last thing I heard before I was forced to the floor. "What do you think you're doing, Snivels? Lily's a bit out of your league, not to mention she's mine". I looked up to see James Potter standing over me, his wand to my chest, before any further he was pulled away by Professor Dumbledore. "Now, James. We do not fight with magic. Leave him be". He reluctantly left and I lay in amazement from the past hours activities.
