Chapter One:

The room, dark and mysterious and cold, always intrigued one girl. She never wanted to let her master see her go into that room but she knew one day that she would get caught.

She had been in that room a number of times, always staring at the mirror that was in there. To her it was like looking into her soul, or at least what her soul wanted out of life. When standing at the mirror all she could see was herself with a man, she didn't know the name of this man and nor what his eyes looked like. But she knew deep down that she would never meet a guy like she sees in the mirror, her master made sure of that.

When he master found her, she had been beating down to near mental explosion. When her master brought her back to his lire her mental state kept falling. It was like that he wanted her to have a nervous breakdown. She didn't care; she always went to the mirror whenever he did that. There she would tell the man in the mirror everything, even her deepest darkest secrets.

But today, she couldn't go into the room with the mirror. Her master was having guests over, and she didn't like the guests. Unfortunately those guest's where her own parents. She didn't mind seeing her mother again but she never wanted to see her father. After what he had done to her…well let's just say that it wasn't pretty.

Right now the girl was with her master, kneeling next to him and in front of her father. She didn't dare make eye contact with any of them, she knew not to.

'Welcome to my lire. But why are you here?' That was her master. She had never heard him speak before, at least not in front of her. The man standing next to her master always spoke to her saying their master's wishes to her.

'I have come to get my daughter back from you. She has been here too long.' The master looked at the girl and then back at the girls father.

'My reasons for why your daughter has stayed this long is none of your concern.'

'By all right, I am her father and I should know what should happen in her life. You yourself have always stated that fate has a cruel way of showing itself right, Orochimaru.' The girl blinked. So that was her master's name.

Orochimaru smirked. He knew the girl's father was right, but he wasn't going to give up the girl with out a fight. 'If you really want your daughter back, you must send someone to do a task, and it must be of my choosing not your own. I know what kind of tasks that you assign and they are not strong enough.'

'There is nothing wrong with the way I assign my tasks Orochimaru.' The girl's father had quite a serious tone at this stage. He also seemed to be getting very angry.

'I wouldn't argue with our master, sir. He doesn't take fondly to those who back talk him right, Rose.' Rose blinked. She knew what the man next to Lord Orochimaru, whose name was Kabuto, was talking about. Rose then looked down, which in turn Kabuto smirked.

'That is enough, Kabuto. You don't have to humiliate the poor girl. Now back to the issue at hand, one person to do a mission of my choosing or your daughter will be branded mine.'

And so it was left at that. Roses father agreed to do what Orochimaru said, even though Rose knew that it would make her father look more insignificant, and agreed to send on of his strongest men over to Orochimaru to achieve his task.
