Life Envy (2nd Edition)
Disclaimer: This is a waste of space.
Author's note: When I find out who reported the first edition of this story for being script format, he/she is going to pay. As for the story, I'm re-writing it without the script format. And all those Alliance rumors... I thought the Alliance was done with me!
Remember when reviewing: Be honest, and whoever reported this story should reveal himself/herself to me.Chapter 1: Rescue -
Somewhere in Dr. Eggman's base, the doctor has tied Amy to a pipe, helpless. Five robots have guns aimed at her. "Any second now, Sonic will come here..." Eggman said to himself.
As if on cue, Sonic suddenly turned all five robots to scrap metal with a Spin-Dash. "Freeze, hedgehog!" Eggman yelled, pulling a lever on the nearby control panel.
Up on the ceiling, a specially made laser gun targeted Sonic and started to shoot lasers at him. Somehow Sonic dodged every single laser, but he needed a plan, and fast.
"Think fast, think fast..." Sonic thought to himself. "Ah! That's it!" Quickly running over to Amy, Sonic grabbed her compact mirror from her pocket and held it up.
Everything went according to Sonic's plan. The next shot bounced off the laser and went right back to the gun, destroying it. Needless to say, Dr. Eggman was furious.
"No! Not again! Sonic, I hate you!" Eggman hollered as Sonic untied Amy. "Well duh," Amy muttered to herself while she and Sonic escaped from the base.
A little later in the city plaza, Sonic and Amy were looking at each other. They were both in deep thought.
"That Sonic, he's never bored," Amy thought. "Dr. Eggman is always up to something, and that keeps him occupied. He's so skilled and powerful, too. Me? I'm just a weakling, and my life is so uneventful. I hate just sitting and waiting, knowing I can't do anything to help."
"That Amy, she has it easy," Sonic thought at the same time. "All she has to do is wait there in Eggman's base waiting for me to rescue her. Not a care in the world, that girl. Dr. Eggman is always keeping me busy, and I rarely have time to stop and take a breather."
Both hedgehogs sighed. "Wouldn't it be great to trade lives with that hedgehog," they both thought at the same time.
Then Amy spoke up. "Well, Sonic, I've got to get home. My roller-skating lessons are in fifteen minutes." "I know how you feel," Sonic responded. "Tails is expecting me to come and have lunch with him."
After saying their goodbyes, Sonic and Amy left in opposite directions. Amy couldn't resist one more loving glance at Sonic on her way. This is actually shorter than the first edition's first chapter was. I made a couple adjustments, though, to lengthen it. For example, Amy's "Well duh" line wasn't in the first edition.
