"What are you staring at?" The raven haired boy barked at the bluenette sitting across from him. She Shrieked and quickly covered her face with her book

"N-Nothing" she squeaked out from behind the book. The boy rolled his eyes and leaned back in his desk. Gray Fullbuster had to be one of the coolest people in 11th grade, he was one of the biggest hockey players as fairy high and people were either scared of him or loved him. Now you might be thinking that its weird cause highschool isn't like this, usually highschool is just a bunch of different cliques and they really don't care about each other. Now of days there isn't a popular group or a nerdy group but in a small town like magnolia it was hard not to have popular kids. OK let me correct my self not a small town, it wasn't even a town! It was a street with small shops and stores, a small gas station and then some houses, after that there was the highschool, middle school, and elementary all in one. This had to be the smallest place in the world.

Gray Fullbuster was the hockey team champ, he was the cutest guy and actually planned on getting out of this small ass town. He even got accepted to colleges down in crocus and that was a huge honor. The school only had a hockey team and a basket ball team due to the smallness of it, Natsu Dragneel was the basketball coach, but this is Gray and Juvias story so we won't go to much into that.

Gray eyed the girl in front of him, she was different. Her name was Juvia Lockser and that was pretty much all he knew about her, she was quiet and didn't speak much unless it was answering or asking questions. Her appearance was a bit different too, she wore a light pink sweater with a matching beanie on the top of her head, on her legs she wore slender white jeans that fit her well and she wore gray convers on her her small feet. This outfit may seem normal to most but it was the fact that for one she listened to rock hard metal music yet she dressed like this little girl, not to mention the fact that her brother is a total diehard for rock and pink bands and also the fact that most girls did anything to get attention in a small town like this since the verity wasn't very open girls would dress scandalous to get people Loke grays attention.

Gray crossed his arms over his tattered misfits shirt and chewed on his bottom lip. He sighed and continued to inspect her. The bluenette looked over her book and peeked at the man in front of her, her cheeks tinted pink at seeing patches of his skin threw his shirt. She cleared her throat and put her book down. She noticed the man was looking at her and she tried to get his attention "G-Gray-sama?" The girl squeaked out.

Gray looked up from her body and blinked at her confused "what?" He asked

Juvia fiddled her fingers nervously and cleared her throat once more "its just… um didn't you just get mad at Juvia for staring at gray-sama? But gray-sama is staring at Juvia. That's not fair" she started to brush her hair with her fingers nervously.

Grays eyes widened and his cheeks turned red. He quickly looked away. He mentally cursed at himself for getting caught looking at her. He was about to open his mouth to say a snide comment but the bell rang before he could even breath. The bluenette quickly stood up shoving her stuff into her back and zipped it up, throwing it over her shoulder. Just like that she quickly left the class room without saying anything.

Gray huffed and stood up throwing his black bag over one shoulder. He pushed in his chair and walked out of the class room. He saw Juvia scurrying to her locker. He rolled his eyes seeing her nervousness, really he never wanted to interact with the weird girl but his dumb ass senior brother made him. Lyon had this whole plan in his head that gray and Juvia get together and once she realizes that he was an ass she would run to Lyon crying and he had his happily ever after.

Ha! As if, Gray immediately rejected that plan and told his brother to grow a pair and ask the girl out himself. Shaking off the thought he walked over to his locker and opened it using the combination.

The rest of the day was pretty slow and nothing much happen. Gray and Natsu got into a fight but that was normal, Juvia somewhat followed him around but mostly always stood next to Levy or Lisanna. The group Gray hung out with consisted of Natsu of course, Erza Scarlet, she was the toughest girl probably in this whole town and extremely smart but stupid all at the same time, Lucy Heartfilia, the cheer and dance captain and Natsu obviously crushed on her but she was way out of his league, and then there were people like Levy, Gajeel, Lisanna and Mira that were his friends but he didn't go out of his way to really engage with them.

Soon school ended and gray had hockey with his brother and the small team that was barely a team. They practiced for about 2 hours and that was it, they really didn't need much practice but they still had to do it to keep up the good work. Once that was over he went to the locker room to pack up, all of the guys left by now and this week was his lock up week so he had to patrol and make sure the rink was all secure.

Juvia quickly shuffled down the dark hallway of the school. No one was here and if they were she would be busted, if her uncle found out she would be dead. She pulled on the small skirt she wore and looked around to see if the coast was clear. Once she saw no one was here she ran down the hall and out to the ice rink. Her face lit up seeing the smooth ice, it was clear and this was her favorite time to skate. Once the boys left the ice was shaved back to smooth and it made for perfect skating. Juvia quickly sat down on the bench and started to lace up her white skates on her tiny feet. She stood up and looked down making sure she looked good. She wore a small blue figure skating dress that was once her mothers, it stopped at high thigh and had a ombre effect, the top of it was a dark blue and ad it went down it transitioned to white. She wore tights that covered her bruised up legs thankfully, it had a sparkle effect so it looked as if snowflakes coated her legs and body. She smiled and then looked up to the windowed roof seeing the stars and moon, she felt happiness overwhelm her. She new that somewhere up there her mom was looking down on her.

She sighed and smiled at herself, then taking a few steps forward she made contact with the ice. And just like that she started to skate her heart out, she felt free as if she could fly away from this horrid town, away from her troubles, away from the pain, away from him.

She closed her eyes and let herself enjoy this without any worry on her mind. She did several spins and jumps, that was her favorite, to be able to feel like you're off the ground and feel that you have a chance to fly away made her continue to sneak out every night just to remind her she still had a chance, to remind her she still had a reason to live to be able to feel something as great as this

Gray had just continued to lock of the boys room. He grabbed his bag and finished turning off the light. Once he turned he saw that the hockey rink still had the lights on, he swore he turned those of. He groaned and started to walk in that direction. Once he entered the room to turn off the lights he soon saw a girl on the ice. Confused he walked closer to see who it was. He was about to shout at her to leave and that she shouldn't be here but soon saw the blueness of her hair and the way she moved. He froze and just continued watching the girl, she looked as if she was flying. She looked free and looked like she was meant for this. Grays heart started to beat faster and he growled annoyed at the feeling in his chest and stomach. He watched her for a couple more minutes and was just hypnotized. Realizing the situation he quickly stood up and exited the building. He couldn't just interrupt her Like that! It was just better to leave that alone… right? She looked so happy and gray hasn't seen that girl smile once throughout high school. He quickly walked home trying to forget the whole situation. Really it was no big deal if he left her there she was just skating what was the harm

Gray quietly entered the house hoping that Lyon wasn't awake to give him shit.

"Young man you are late and you never answered my text" and there she was, queen bitch herself. After grays parents died he moved in with his aunt Ul and her daughter Ultear. Let's just say she was a bit annoying to gray. Ul usually was upstairs in bed, she had cancer and didn't move much so Ultear helped out. Gray knew that Ultear was just helping and even Gray did what he could to help but I mean come on its his sister all siblings fight.

Gray growled and turned around to face the tall girl "listen I had to lock up. I'll try to be quicker next time OK?" He said annoyed and started heading up the stairs. Ignoring his sisters nagging. He closed the door behind him and flopped face down in his bed. His head was buried in his pillow and groaned loudly. He kept his eyes closed and just imagined the way the girl looked on the ice. He felt that Knott in his stomach, he didn't know why and he hated it but just seeing her dance like that and so happy made him feel weird inside. And he hated it
