I wrote this a while ago when I just started watching the new cartoon. I became a big fan of the new turtles and decided to write down one of my story ideas. This is the first story I'll publish on this site and I really hope you'll enjoy it. I has alot of grammar errors since it's pretty old and i never intended to publish it.

For now I won't continue on from this chapter and I'll just leave it as a cliffhangerish oneshot. It's probably going to stay that way. I wrote it more or less as a exercise. The story doesn't completely follow the episodes so please don't let yourself get confused. Now read and enjoy and please don't bother to leave a review with your thoughts. This is my first story and I am looking for some criticism.

Chapter One: Taken

The night has been peaceful as the dark figures swiftly moved over the city's rooftops. Every now and then a shadow could be noticed leaping over the buildings where it was illuminated by the street lights. But as it showed no other sign of its existence the New-Yorkers simply ignored it going on with their daily things. That was of course until the four figures made their way to the less populated and more industrial part of the city. It wasn't long after they slightly let down their concentration that one of them kicked and tripped over a small metal satellite dish. A clang and a thump were heard as the other three quickly turned at the loud noise.

"Mikey!" Leo and Donnie hissed at the spot, annoyed by their clumsy little brother, only to get surprised by a whining:

"Dude, I'm right here." Their freckled brother stood right next to them on the roof "I'm a little hurt that you always assume me for everything." He huffed and crossed his arms.

The two blinked at him dumbfounded then turned their gazes forward only to see Raph grumbling under his breath and getting on his feet. Silence filled the air until he dusted himself and mumbled the last curse. That's when Donnie and Leo both burst out laughing, quickly followed by a giggling Mikey who already completely forgot that he was the one accused before. The youngest skipped on his feet to his brother's side and leaned on his shoulder.

"Yo, Raphie, I think that need of yours for smashing things is becoming subconscious. "Or maybe you should ask Donnie to check your eyes." Mikey laughed only to get smacked at the back of his head. The small turtle pouted and rubbed his head annoyingly.

"Shut up before I subconsciously pound you to the ground!" Raph groveled and flicked a finger at Mikey's forehead then shoved past him to the other two giving them a death stare and shutting them up. Leo and Donnie knew better not to get Raph anymore mad then he already was.

"I'm impressed, Mikey." Donnie sidestepped Raph and looked at his small brother.

"What?" The orange masked turtle raised his brow.

" 'Subconsciously' is a big word. I'm amazed that you even pronounced it correctly." Donnie grinned showing his wide tooth gap.

"Hey!" Mikey whined offended by his brother's remarks. "You're really mean, you know? Do you think I'm stupid or something?"

"Mikey, unlike you, we all think that." Raph joined in. "Wait, let me rephrase that; Unlike you, we all think." The second oldest smirked and flicked his baby brother over the nose again only to get another angry "Hey!" from Mikey.

"Okay guys that's enough. I think we're all just a little tired. It's already pretty late. We should all head back to the lair and get some rest." Leonardo announced after he saw a fight forming in the near future if he wouldn't stop it. The other three surprisingly nodded in agreement. In truth they all really were tired, it was three in the morning and they have been patrolling around the city for a long time already. Overall the night was getting pretty cold which was not the best for the coldblooded turtle brothers.

"Finally you make a good decision. I like the fresh air and all but what's the point if there's no Kraang or Foot to hit." Raph remarked as he patted his brother's shell. Leo ignored him and stepped to the edge of the rooftop.

Just as they leaped over the first building Leonardo stopped dead in his tracks. His brothers crashed into him and each other right after. They all groaned and yawned at their leader but their complaints were quickly hushed by Leo as he leaned to the ground and carefully looked over the edge at the street. The other three followed, instantly going into stealth mode. Their rowdy attitudes became as silent as the surroundings in a second.

Under a flickering orange light across the street they spotted the Foot Ninja in a dark alley carrying something out the back door of some kind of workshop. They were loading the stolen objects into a black van parked on the sidewalk near the light.

"You know 'I was' getting a little bored…" Raph grinned as he brought out his twin sai.

"Wait Raph," Leo tugged his eager brother back down by the shoulder. "There's about twenty Foot Bots down there. Do you really think it's a good idea to fight them?"

Raph huffed but kneeled back down by his brothers' side.

"Donnie, what's the status." Leonardo asked without taking his eye of the enemy.

"What status? You have eyes don't you? The Foot are probably stealing weapons or some kind of machinery. What do you expect from me? To read their minds!?" Donnie hissed out a little too loudly.

"You can do that!?" Mikey gasped in awe with a smack followed from Raph.

The cry that escaped Michelangelo's lips quickly got the attention of an unwanted acquaintance. Rahzar recognized the small turtle's voice and quickly faced the direction of the sound. "I smell turtles…" He grinned with his sharp teeth as he spotted the four mutants across the street looking over the edge of the rooftop. "Get them!" he ordered the soldiers before running behind them alongside Fishface.

"Mikey!" the three brothers gritted their teeth and hissed at their small brother as they saw the approaching Foot.

"It's not my fault. Raph hit me!" Mikey whined.

"And I'll hit you again!" Raphel threatened with a risen fist.

"We don't have time for this. We have to get out of here, now." Leonardo ordered in his calm but authoritative voice. They all took off but were surrounded by the Foot Ninja before they even got to the other side of the roof.

Donnie yelped and got a hold of his bo. Everyone else drew out their weapons as well. They all gathered with their backs pressed together, each facing a different direction. The Foot Bots stood still blocking their way until Rahzar and Fishface climbed up the roof to join the 'fun'.

"Look who we found snooping around." Xever hissed and Bradford chuckled at the small group of the turtles.

"Your days of theft are over!" Leo stood tall and pointed his sword at the two mutants trying to sound like his favourite TV hero, Captain Ryan.

"Seriously, Leo?" Raph and the other two eyed him. Even Mikey, who was a fan of the old comic books, thought his brother's lines were just too cliché.

"What?" Leo shrugged thinking he was making a good impression while his brothers, especially Raph, felt ashamed of him.

The giant mutated fish and wolf both laughed ignoring the brothers' little conversation. "We'll see about that, turtles." Fishface grinned showing his fangs. And like that they both ran forward followed in an attack by all of the Foot Soldiers. The fight broke out forcefully but the brothers stuck close together looking out for each other's backs. The younger two brothers easily fought off the Foot while Leonardo fought Fishface and Raphael Rahzar. Donatello swung his bo and Mikey his nunchuks, defeating the soldiers one by one. Every now and then Leo or Raph would hit a few as well when they got far enough from the two giant mutants attacking them.

When most of the foot bots were already destroyed Fishface managed to hit the tired blue leader in the plastron making him fall back and crash into Raphael. The red masked turtle stumbled to the side in front of Donnie who just wanted to swing his bo at one of the Foot Bots. The tall turtle redirected his staff at the last second before it could hit Raph. But the bo swung to the side and hit someone else instead. Mikey cried in pain and stumbled over the roof ledge.

"Mikey!" The older brothers all screamed in horror as they saw their brother helplessly fall over the edge. Donnie could feel his stomach twist as he realized he struck his only younger brother.

Mikey on the other hand quickly converted his nunchaku into a kusarigama in midair and threw the end with the blade at the fire escape stairs. The blade luckily got caught in the railing and he was yanked on the chain. The small turtle yelped at the pain in his arms from the sudden pressure. The end of the kusarigama then quickly untangled and Mikey fell the last meters to the ground with a thump. The air got knocked out of him as he landed on his shell.

Rahzar and Fishface took the older brothers' shock to their advantage and jumped down the fire escape after the small turtle, before the others could get to their senses. Raph was the first that ran right after them. His anger was boiling over the fear for his little brother. He could never allow himself to let Mikey get hurt or, in this case, anymore hurt. He jumped down the rusty fire escape after the two mutants. When he got to the ground he tackled Fishface to the floor but Rahzar was already at Mikey's side. Mikey tried to get up and run away but the dizziness in his head held him pinned to the asphalt. The giant mutated wolf grabbed the little turtle under his arms and around the neck with his long sharp claws. Mikey tried to fight him off but his head was throbbing even more where the bo hit it plus his back and right arm hurt when he moved them. He started to see dark spots in his blurry vision the more he fought back. "Raph!" He screamed as he tugged on Rahzar's claws again.

"Be still or I'll skin you!" Rahzar barked at him and brought his other sharp paw in front of Mikey's face.

Raphael was distracted as he was looking at his struggling freckled brother. Fishface kicked him away when he saw he wasn't paying attention. He quickly walked to Rahzar's side on his metal legs. The stumbling red masked turtle was caught by Leo but instantly charged forward at the two again. He suddenly stopped his act as Rahzar tightened the grip on Mikey making the little one yelp. The small turtle was slowly starting to slip in and out of consciousness.

"That's what I thought." The mutant wolf grinned with his sharp teeth. The remaining five Foot Ninja leaped from the building and came to Bradford's and Xever's side.

Raph gritted his teeth trying to hold in the fury. He knew he couldn't attack them but standing still only made his anger grow. He breathed heavily as Leo and Donnie hurried to his side each trying to calm him down before he would do something that would lead to regret.

Leonardo then stepped in front of his brothers with a determined look on his face. "Give our brother back! He's hurt." Leo knew they were cornered and there was nothing he could think of but there was no way he'll show his fear to the enemy.

"Now why would we do that?" Fishface replied in his slick Portuguese accent. "And yes, we can very much see he's hurt." He moved slowly and as obnoxiously as he could step with his mechanic legs to Mikey's side. "We wouldn't want anything more to happen to him, would we?" He rubbed in the fact the turtles were helpless to save their brother while he was right in Rahzar's grasp. He patted Mikey's cheek as the turtle only moaned looking down and not even trying to get away anymore.

Leo stiffened at the spot. He didn't know what else to do. However they would act, Rahzar could slice Mikey up before they would make the first step.

The tension in the air became thicker with each passing second. Leo looked back for help only to see his frightened brothers staring at him in deadly silence. The fear in their eyes brought panic onto Leo's face. 'Mikey was already half unconscious and he could have a concussion or worse and he was probably also injured from the fall. They had to get him home quick,' was all Leo could think at the moment.

He tightly clenched his katana before returning them to the scabbards on his shell. "We'll make a trade. Me for my brother!" He tried sounding courageous but he knew there was uncertainty in his voice.

"Leo what are you doing!?" Donnie loudly whispered at his oldest brother. Both, him and Raphael knew that that was a stupid idea no matter how much they wanted to get Mikey back. Mikey on the other hand was already unconscious and gave no reaction at all.

"Hmmm…?" Xever eyed Leonardo's expression. The young leader tried to look as determined as possible. He didn't want to be in the enemy's hands but his brothers always came first. And there didn't seem to be any other way to get Mikey at the moment.

"That is quite an offer, I must say. But we are not so stupid to make deals in such conditions." Fishface hissed out a reply as he walked to the other side of Bradford and Mikey.

"What?" Leo stared dumbfounded together with his other brothers. He didn't understand. He was the leader, the oldest and the best trained of his brothers. Why wouldn't they rather take him instead of Mikey? Fishface noticed the confusion on the turtles' faces and on Rahzar's as well.

"If we took you, you would easily escape from us. But your small brother here is hurt and has no strength to cause us any trouble. But you all want him back just as badly as you would want back any of your brothers. Maybe even more since he is injured." The fish smiled wickedly at the others.

"Hehe I like how you think." Rahzar laughed as he tossed the unconscious Michelangelo over his shoulder like a sack. He first doubted his colleague's decision but now that it was explained it sounded just all to perfect.

Raph's anger was starting to get the best of the red masked turtle again. He needed to get to Mikey or he'll lose it. He growled in pure fury: "Why you little-" But he was stopped by Leonardo who grabbed him by the shoulder. The older brother's dark blue eyes unpleasantly cooled the hothead off.

"Then tell us what you want!" Leo demanded as anger started to affect him as well. But a loud noise of countless hard footsteps cut him off. The horrible silence was gone yet the tension in the air only increased.

"Kraang has located the ones called the turtles in the same place that is Kraang in the time that is now." An alien robot announced as a whole group of them appeared form behind one of the buildings. Before any of the mutants even had a chance to take a stance, the Kraang started shooting their laser guns at both the turtles and the Foot.

"Are you kidding!?" Donnie screamed on the end with his nerves. He had been quiet the whole time Rahzar had a hold on Mikey but he had been going through too much stress. He couldn't think of a plan that would get them out of trouble and he couldn't even imagine something horrible happening to him. Now the Kraang made the situation even worse. The small turtle's the only younger brother Donatello had and he felt responsible for his safety.

Just as Donnie's high pitched voice spread through the street, two of Kraang's white vans drove to their location from the other side. The brothers could have easily escaped from the brainy aliens but there was no way they would leave Mikey behind. So they stayed dogging the lasers and started to attack the approaching robots.

Raph went insane in blind fury as he ran into the Kraang Droids. He yelled and impaled each one that got under his sai. The small squeaking brain like creatures scrambled away from him one after another. Leonardo went after his mad brother in an attempt to stop his outrage and bring some sense into him. The sudden new wave of robots that came from the vans surrounded the brothers in a second. Leo decided to leave Raph be and rather try to get to Mikey before Bradford and Xever got a chance to escape. He fought forcefully to cut through the Kraang but new droids came just too quickly to have an effect. He couldn't even see past them where he was.

Unlike his older brothers, Donnie was at the edge of the large fight feeling like he was getting pushed away. As he twirled his bo in protection he felt something hit it. A sharp shuriken stuck out of the wooden staff. There was a small folded paper impaled to it. Donnie looked around in terror. The Kraang didn't use this kind of weapon and the only others that did, had Mikey. The tall turtle noticed Fishface and Rahzar escaping from the aliens with his unconscious brother.

"Stop!" Donnie ran after the two but was slowed down by more Kraang.

"Have fun, turtles." Fishface looked back at Donnie and grinned with his sharp teeth. "And we hope to meet soon." He pointed at the note still attached to Donatello's bo. Then the giant mutants both ran to their black van that was still parked under the street light. They crawled into the back of the vehicle and Rahzar dumped Mikey down beside them where the stolen objects were. The only Foot Ninja that managed to escape the giant fight jumped into the driver's seat and drove of full gas.

"Mikey!" Donnie desperately yelled after them before one of the alien robots tripped him to the hard ground blocking his view. The shuriken, together with the note, slid over the asphalt away from the purple masked brother. Donnie quickly hit away the robots and scrambled on his knees to get the note. His eyes watered from all the fear and pressure taking the better of him. That piece of paper had the only information of how to get their brother and he could not lose it. Just as he got close one of the Kraang Droids kicked it away. But the purple ninja quickly stopped the sliding shuriken with his staff and snatched the paper away. He tucked it safely under his belt as he blocked another attack from the Kraang.

Leonardo heard his tall brother scream Mikey's name through the crowd of robots. Just the next second he saw a van pass by with full speed. His stomach turned at the realization. He soon got pushed away by Raphael who tried his best to get through the attacking Kraang Droids and after the moving vehicle. In all his rage the red masked turtle only saw the speeding vehicle and gave no attention to his surroundings, only the robots that were in his way. As he almost reached the end of the robot mass a laser beam hit his left leg. He screamed in pain and fell to the ground.

"Raph!" Leo called for his fallen brother. He cut through the surrounding droids with his blades and blocked the lasers as he tried to get close to Raphael.

Just then did one of the Kraang far behind him give another announcement; "The first phase of Kraang's plan is that which is successful. All Kraang must return to the transportation called a van and begin phase two." All the droids suddenly stopped. They beeped a bit before walking off to the two vans they came there with. They took the already broken robots with them. The two vehicles were full as they started to drive off into the opposite direction from where the Foot took Mikey.

Leo without a thought ran to Raphael as soon as the robots stopped attacking. The hotheaded turtle already got on his feet and faced his blue masked brother but rather looked over his shoulder staring at the Kraang getting into the vans. He wanted to run after them and pound them to the ground but he was just glad they backed off. None of the three turtle brothers had time for them at that moment.

"What's up with that!" He grumbled. He couldn't understand the meaning behind Kraang's sudden attack and fall back. If they hadn't shown up he wouldn't have lashed out and they could have gotten Mikey back. But now their little brother was long gone.

Leo withdrew his swords and took one more step to Raph, eyeing him for any injury. "Are you okay?" he asked before he noticed his brother's cut on the left leg.

"I'm fine." Raph mumbled.

"Are you sure?" Leo leaned closer. His brother was slightly bleeding from his calf but before Leo could get a better look Raph pushed him away.

"I'm fine, Leo!" He yelled in annoyance. He was tired and stressed and had no time to be worrying about anything else but his orange masked brother. He breathed out clearing his hazed mind and put away his sai. He glanced at the two white vans speeding off in front to him when he noticed a broken wooden staff lying in the middle of the street.

"Where's Donnie?" He stiffened as he could feel another burden placed on his shoulders.

Raphael's question struck Leonardo like an arrow. A suffocating lump formed in his throat as his gaze ran around the street looking for his tall brother. "Donnie!" He shouted for him waiting for an answer. It was all in vain as the air stayed silent. He now knew what the Kraang meant when they said the first phase of their plan was complete.

The blue masked turtle couldn't believe what was happening. Both of his youngest brothers were taken. He felt like he was failing as a leader and as a big brother.

He snapped out of his consuming thoughts and looked at Raph's drained green eyes with determination. "Come on!" He hinted his brother to follow him, but he stayed still.

"What about Mikey?" Raph wanted to head in the opposite direction.

"Raph, the vans are right there. We just have to follow them." Leo insisted.

"Mikey's hurt. We have to find him first!" Raph made a few steps away from his brother.

"Donnie could be hurt too." Leo pointed out the fact even though he didn't want to believe it. "We have to go before we lose sight of them!"

"No, we have to get to Mikey!" Raph continued to step away.

"Raph!" Leo snapped. "As your leader I command you to go after the Kraang!" He raised an authoritative voice.

"As my leader!?" Raphael stopped to look at Leo. "What a leader you have been! We lost both of our little brothers!" He shouted. His anger was coming back.

"You think I don't know that!?" The older brother yelled back. "You think I'm not as scared and angry as you!? I am! But we have to be reasonable. Rahzar and Fishface are long gone with Mikey and we don't know where. But Donnie is right there in one of those two vans!" Leo slowly trembled.

Raph could hardly stand looking at his breaking brother. He had been so frustrated that he ignored everyone else around him. He didn't even consider to think how the others felt. "Okay." He breathed out.

They both quickly started running after the disappearing vehicles without another word. No matter what, the Kraang were horrible drivers and the two turtles didn't see any reasons why they couldn't get to them in time.

They were heaving heavily as they sprinted on the road. As the two vans turned a sharp right in the distance the two turtles decided to climb to the roof and proceed there since there will be less distance to run. The two climbed the first building's fire escape and ran across the roof. Leo easily leaped over the rooftops followed by Raph. They soon reached the last building next to the road the Kraang were driving on. They could already hear the vehicles. The gap between the last two buildings was bigger than the others but Leo took it as no challenge as he already had a fast approach. He jumped over and landed easily before taking off again. He saw the two vans on the road bellow him. They were much closer than before. He didn't stop running until he heard his brother thump and quietly cry out behind him. He quickly turned only to see Raphael lying on the floor pressing his hand hard against his left leg.

"Raph!" The older brother slightly hesitated before he ran back to him. He completely forgot about Raph's leg injury.

"I'm fine." Raph muttered as he tried to get back up. "Come on we have to get Donnie." The red masked tried to hide his pain but slightly winced when he stepped forward. Blood leaked out of the cut and covered most of his foot. The palm he pressed the wound with was red as well. Leo knew Raph liked to hide his injuries but this was insane. He was amazed he even managed to keep up until now.

Raph started to awkwardly run over the roof again. Leo ran right next to him and decided to give more attention to his only present brother. He wished they could stop but he knew getting Donnie was more important at the moment. He also knew Raph would never want to stay behind even if he begged him to.

Unfortunately their journey quickly came to an end as they reached the end of the roof. The vans were gone. The knots in their stomachs doubled as they realized their situation. Leo tried listening for the sound of the motors but was left with nothing. Raph, on the other hand, fell to his knees and grabbed his head in pain. He yelled and heaped and yelled again. Leo left his brother to deal with his anger and sat down next to him. The young leader was drained to exhaustion in the last hour. He was so tired he could hardly keep himself awake yet his mind screamed from all directions. He brought his knees up and hugged them. He hid his head between his arms trying to escape his loud thoughts.

Raph suddenly stood up and nudged Leo's shoulder. "Come on."

"Where?" Leo looked up surprised by Raph's sudden determination.

"To the T.C.R.I., Donnie has to be there." Raph explained.

Leo stared into Raph's glazed eyes for a long time searching for something he didn't even know. He sighed and looked away before silently replying. "The T.C.R.I. is in the other direction..."

Raph was taken aback by Leo's sudden mood change. He seemed like a lost child. Raph ignored the feeling desperately searching for something else they could do. "Then we'll go to Shredder's place to get Mikey." He already started to walk off in the right direction.

"No, Raph!" Leo raised his voice and stood up facing his brother.

"No? Leo we have to do something!" the younger brother exclaimed.

"You're hurt and it's too dangerous. Plus you don't know if he's really there." Leo tried to change Raph's mind.

"Then we should at least go take a look. He's my little brother! " Raph started to rant.

"Raph!" Leo said his voice breaking at the end. "He's my little brother too. And so are you! I don't know what I would do if I'd lose you all." Leo voice shook more and more. "We have to go home. Stop ignoring the fact and face it. You're hurt and we're both tired."

"Leo…" Raph watched his trembling brother. He has never seen Leo like this. He always stayed calm in any situation they faced but now he was crumbling into pieces.

"I want to get Mikey and Donnie back just as much as you. But I can't. Not right now." Leo turned away as tears filled his eyes.

Raphael pressed his lips into a thin line for a few moments as Leonardo's words sunk in. This time he tried to be strong for his brother. "You're right, Leo. We're just tired and need some rest. As for our brothers; I believe they're strong enough to hold on for a day." He gave his brother a soft smile as he placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "I mean they are two skilled mutant ninjas."

Leo slightly smiled back and whipped away the tears still in his eyes.

"Come one lets go." Raph patted his shell and Leo nodded.

They slowly climbed down the block staying close to each other and found the nearest manhole where they entered the sewers. Before closing the cover they both took one more look around in blind hope that maybe they'll spot something that'll help them find Mikey or Donnie. They breathed out in expected disappointment before closing the lid and submerging into the darkness.

What's gonna happen now? o_o

You'll have to use your own imagination for that...
